Emily Vizcarra, LPT, or “Teacher Emily” graduated

with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education
from the University of Santo Tomas. She also completed
her Master of Arts in Special Education from De La
Salle University, Manila.

She has taught at the Nursery and Kindergarten levels at

Lourdes School of Mandaluyong for ten years. She has
also taught at Immaculate Conception Academy as an English teacher and
Kindergarten teacher. She was assigned as the Grade Level Coordinator for Pre-
Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Grade 1 at that school.

She is a researcher and was one of the presenters at the 3rd International
Conference for Educators (ICOED 2017) held in Melaka, Malaysia, presenting her
action research entitled "Using Brain Gym to Enhance Kindergarten Pupils'
Reading Abilities."

She also visited the United States in 2019 to conduct benchmarking at St. Catherine
Morgan Hill, California, and interviewed the current District Head of that area.

She has conducted seminars and training for preschool teachers in different parts of
the Philippines. She is also an author of various preschool books at REX Education
since 2010.

Currently, she teaches and owns R.E.A.C.H. Tutorial Center, which aims to assist
students in the Philippines and China.
