Gabriel’s future?
Gabriel is not at the ceremony. He has been granted an additional year of
nurturing because of a plea presented by Jonas’s father to the committee. He has
been labeled “Uncertain” instead of “Inadequate.” He will be allowed to spend his
nights with Jonas’s family unit, but each family member had to sign a pledge that
they would not become attached to him.
