loss prevention initiative to
promote good practice and safe
systems of work on board ship.
Safe work means that seafarers
should be competent and properly
trained for the task to be performed.
Safe work means adopting
measures that take account of
proper risk assessment.
Safe work means that seafarers
should take responsibility for their
own safety and the safety of others.
Safe work means that seafarers
should always use appropriate
personal protective equipment.
Safe work practices will reduce the
number of incidents and accidents.
