Choose the correct answer from the given four options:
1. The rational form of 0.254 is in the form of then (p + q) is
(a) 14 (b) 55 (c) 69 (d) 79
Let, x = 0.254, then x = 0.2545454 ........... ...(1)
Multiplying Eq. (1) by 100, we get
100x = 25.4545. ......... ...(2)
Subtracting Eq. (1) from Eq. (2), we get
99x = 25.2
⇒x= ⇒x=
Comparing with , we get p = 14 and q = 55
Hence, p + q = 14 + 55 = 69

Here, 16 = 24,
