Ating Alamin at Tuklasin


• This contains the lesson/input that the learner should learn.
• The first paragraph or sentence could be a motive question, an engaging
statement or a review of the previous lesson.

concepts that the learner should know in order for him/her to answer the
activities that follow.

Tayo’y Magsanay
• This part has two activities, likened to a dependent or guided activity.
• This first activity may be categorized to develop lower order thinking skills that
will serve as learner’s stepping stone to answer the second activity which is of
increasing complexity.
• Make sure that the activities are aligned with the competency.
• This part may consume a maximum of one or two pages depending on the key
stage and format of the activity.

Ating Pagyamanin
• This part is also composed of two activities (independent) which are both
categorized to develop higher order thinking skills among learners
• The activities here are not the same with the first two activities in the previous
part but are considered support activities (of increasing complexity) to deepen
learner’s understanding of the concepts and to reinforce/solidify development of
skills/competencies.
• Make sure that the activities are aligned with the competency.
• A maximum of one and a half page may be allotted for this part.

• This part synthesizes, summarizes the important concepts of the lesson.
• Instead of simply putting the main concepts of the lesson, writers are advised to
do this in an activity format which could be in a form of cloze test, sentence or
paragraph completion or questions or any other creative way to synthesize the
main points of the lesson.
• Half of a page may do for this part.

Ating Tayahin
• This part measures learner’s understanding of the lesson as well development
of a skill.
• Make sure that the contents of the assessment are really the ones
discussed/imparted/developed in the first four parts of the activity sheet.
• For the number of items, this suggestion may be considered: 5 items for Key
stage 1, 10 for Key stage 2 and 15 for Key stage 3 and 4.
• A maximum of two pages for this part may do.
