1. This paper has three projects.


2. Candidates must choose one project of their choice from the given list.
3. All drawings should be done in pencil.
4. DO NOT use tipp-ex for erasing.
5. Candidates will need a ruler, pencil, rubber and coloured pencils.
6. Candidates are expected to follow the design process during the project write-up.
7. Candidates must show creativity and neatness when making products.

PROJECTS

Instructions:

1. There are three (3) projects listed below. Choose one (1) project.
2. Follow the design process to do the write up and in making each of the
products.

(a) Make a set of beaded jewellery (bracelet and a ring)

(i) Use the ingcibo / ligcebesha style.


(ii) Use any 3 colours for the beads.
(iii) Show colour tones.
(iv) Show creativity and good finishing.
(v) Cost and price the products.
(vi) Design a poster to advertise these products.

(b) Design and make two wire papier-mâché moulded animals for
decoration.

(i) Use old newspapers or cardboard boxes to make the pulp.


(ii) Mould two wire papier-mâché animals
(iii) Choose a reasonable size for the products.
(iv) Paint the moulded animals using the right colours.
(v) Show creativity and good finishing.
(vi) Cost and prize the products.
(vii) Design a poster to advertise these products.

(c) Weave a window blind

(i) Use any material in your environment (likhwane, incoboza, indvuli,


bamboo, reed, lucungwa(grass), plastics etc.)
(ii) Choose a weaving style.
(iii) Size of blinds should be 1m x 1m.
(iv) Show creativity and good finishing.
(v) Cost and prize the product.
(vi) Design a poster to advertise this product.
