What to eat and drink: Ajiaco is a typical

colombian soup. This soup is made from


three types of potatoes that give different
textures and flavors, corn and chicken are
two of the other main ingredients in this
preparation. Its characteristic flavor is due
to a native plant of Colombia, called
"guasca". It is served with a portion of rice
and accompanied by avocado and
empanadas, typical of this region.

The "chicha" is a typical drink of this


region. It is mande of distilled and
fermentate corn and other cereals
originating in America; although.
Also, it is usually prepared from the
fermentation of different cereals, fruits
and alcohol.
Culture tip: Andina Region, one of the six
natural regions of Colombia, is located in
the center of the country and has a wide
range of thermal floors and the largest
number of natural parks.

has a great diversity of climate and natural
resources, such as minerals that they are
in the subsoil (copper, emeralds , oil or
silver), wild animals and others.
