Globalisasi and Multi National Cooperations (MNCs)

Many expert opinions on globalization include thinking that globalization is a social process, but
there are also says that globalization is a natural process of history that will make the nations of
the world become bound between one and the other to realize a new order without seeing
boundaries geographical, economic and cultural boundaries of the peoples that have developed in
each country. So it can be concluded that globalization is a binding relationship and makes
dependence between countries one with another country and humans around the world without
paying attention to boundaries in each country.

Thomas L. Friedman argues that globalization and technology make the world flatter than before,
there are many places that can be connected compared to previous conditions, but in reality the
world is not flat. Another opinion expressed by Muladi is that globalization is a process in which
humans around the world are united into one entity and jointly synergize both synergies in positive
and negative forms, for example, such as transnational crimes caused by technological advances
and ICT transformation (Information and Communication Technologies) or in Indonesian
commonly referred to as TIK (Teknologi Informasi dan Komunikasi). Another thing that results in
globalization other than in the field of technology is science, as well as relationships that result in
dependence between countries with one another which begins with economic relations but
ultimately is multidimensional which makes a new world order (Lestariningsih, 2011) Based on
the explanation above, it can be known that three characteristics of globalization are
interconnected, namely mutual contact (interlinks), integration and interrelated (Interdependence)
with parties involved in it Globalization has distinctive characteristics so that it involves various
parties that include countries Nation state non-state Actors whose nature can come from the bottom
as well as from the bottom. Examples whose nature comes from above include the World Bank,
IMF, WTO, MNC.
