PRAHAN: Thank u friends.

We all welcome you to our world. the world of astronauts.

Before we begin let me introduce you all to our team.. THE SPACE
TRAVELLERS.
INTRODUCTION BY EACH WITH AN ADJECTIVE TO THE NAME
RELATING TO SPACE..
PRAHAN. THE PROTOSTAR PRAHAN
AMSHUL: ASTRAL AMSHUL
ARMAAN: ASTRONOMICAL ARMAAN
AIZAH: ANGULAR AIZAH
FARHAN: FUTURISTIC FARHAN
IBRAHIM: ICONIC IBRAHIM

AMSHUL: Let us first take you all on some aspects of astronaut’s life. Aspiring
astronauts need to have a master's degree, usually in STEM field. You must
also complete two years of training and pass the notoriously hard NASA
physical.
You'll also need a degree and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject
like: biology, chemistry or physics. engineering.

ARMAAN: so you see, it’s a hard and responsible job as you are representing
ones country and working for mankind.
Once in space, we have many hardships and challenges to face.

AIZAH: Food for us is prepared by the respective space stations like NASA,
ISS etc. The lab creates food that is nutritious, ensuring peak health and
performance for the crew. A method called freeze drying is done.
IBRAHIM: In freeze drying, a fully prepared food is frozen to minus 40
degrees Fahrenheit and all water content from food is removed.
Can anyone say why is water removed?
Freeze drying also reduces the weight of food and believe me we also reduce
our weight. Moreover, to avoid the food from floating, it is taped using Velcro
to table or tray. Scissors are used to open the vacuum bags of food.

FARHAN: Astronauts may also eat normal pantry goods in their natural form
such as nuts, granola bars, candies, cookies and more, repackaged at the Space
Food Systems Laboratory.
Astronauts live in a weightless environment. Astronauts have to keep everything
strapped in, notebooks, cutlery, tools and toiletries.

PRAHAN: Living in space can make your bones and muscles weaker. We are
exposed to large amounts of radiation, and this causes health problems. We also
suffer from anxiety and distress. Our immune system is affected, making us
prone to diseases. We also have permanent damage to our bone density.

AMSHUL: You know our looks also change. Our Spine stretches, making us
taller. Once we are back on earth, we go back to our normal height.
eg and back muscles weaken and our face becomes puffy and this is the reason
all astronauts look weird when in space.

FARHAN: let me share some more interesting facts.

The space suit we carry weighs around 82 kgs. its like carrying all bags
together. And the cost of a single space suit is 1.2 million dollars. We need to
assemble the suit every time we wear.

ARMAAN: Did you know that space walking astronauts spend up to more than
8 hours without going to toilet, so we wear Maximum Absorption Garment
(M.A.G) called as diapers.

IBRAHIM: one more interesting fact that I would like to share. Apollo 16
Astronaut Charles Duke left a photograph of his wife and their two sons sitting
on a bench on the Moon. He signed the back of the photograph with a message
saying “’This is the family of Astronaut Duke from Planet Earth. Landed on the
Moon, April 1972.’” The photograph remains to this day.

AIZAH: we hope we have given you all some knowledge about our life in
space. To conclude let me quote from one of the greatest astronauts of all times
BUZZ ALDRIN
“NO DREAM IS TOO HIGH FOR THOSE WITH THEIR EYES IN
SKY”.

Thank u all and have a great day.
