CIVIL QA/QC ROLES AND RESPOSIBILITIES

 Conduct inspections to in-progress / completed works and ensure Works are in accordance
to project specification and approved construction drawings (Earthwork to finishing
stages I-e:- Mockup, Trial mix, FDT, DFT, SPT, CBR, Clearing and grubbing,
Compaction, Excavation, Reinforcement, Formwork, Concrete, Grout, Construction &
Expansion Joints, Dewatering, Painting, Waterproofing, Flooring and Ceiling, Interior
fit outs, Doors & windows, Pre stressing & Steel structure)
 Check the adequacy of monthly corrective preventive reports from site
 Co-ordinate and review continual improvement in the region
 Co-ordinate and conduct monthly review meetings with Q.A engineer of site
 Coordinate to establish material testing lab at the site as per lab manual
 Implementation of lab manual at the site in the region
 Study of contract specifications, codes manuals for effective implementation of works in
relation to quality of products
 Keep check on testing frequency, acceptance/rejection criteria
 Monitor acceptance / rejection criteria and escalate if require

 Responsible for closing noncompliance reports “NCR” and initiating “INCR” of any non-
conformances and carry out root cause analysis
 Manage and monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and process improvement
 Manage subcontractors to clear defects and achieve required construction quality
assessment system target
 Preparing material receiving inspection requests “MRIR”, material approval reports “MAR”
and receiving inspections
 Preparing submittals and response of comments for approvals
 Preparing request for clarifications, Technical quarries and method of statements
 Preparing MEP, HVAC releases prior to required next activities
 Responding client emails and act accordingly
 Reviewing survey reports, bar bending schedules and drawings
 Monitor the correct operations for curing
 Check the documents certifying the tests, controls and inspections carried out and ensure
their orderly collection and management
 Ensure that material and equipment are correctly received, stored, preserved and handled
 Ensure that materials are correctly identified and traceable, Ensure assessments and
recordings of inspection, control and test results
 Responsible for final punch items closure prior to handover completed Jobs
 Ensure the preparation of the QA/QC discipline dossier for final handover to the Client,
verify the correct implementation and application of the database/spread sheet for Quality
inspection and test report tracking and registration
