All the following headlines are essential and carry marks in the total marks for lab report.
2. Experiment name on top of second page, bold font, Font type: Calibri (body), size 16, e.g.,:
4. Calculations with theoretical plot: Give a numerical example why the plot should come the way
you expect it. Plot from your theoretical understanding.
5. Laboratory readings: Set of readings in a tabular form like below (add columns or rows as
required):
Remarks: Write down any anomalous readings with a possible guess on why it went offset.
7. Conclusion:
Discussion in complete sentences and in bullets on what you conclude from the observation about
the experiment and compare it with your theoretical expectations from points 3 and 4 above*.
Separate conclusion for each experiment.
8. Discussion:
9. Application:
Discuss applications of the device that can be done using this lab experiment. E.g., if you know the
behavior of a thermometer, you can decide whether to use it for measuring body temperature, or
temperature of a furnace. A circuit application of the device should be given with explanation of its
operation in the circuit and how this experiment helps one to use it.
Without proper 7, 8, 9 (must be linked to 1-6 as well) the lab record receives 0 marks. The purpose
of this lab is to analyze a device so that it can be used in real life, and not to take readings for the
purpose of scoring marks. The lab and lab exams will be conducted with the above objective with
practical applications in focus.
