LORD Jesus, I stand before you to praise you by the celebration of the mystery
of faith. Purify my hearth, my thoughts and my lips. Let my eyes be set upon
You, who live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, world without end.

THE INTRODUCTION RITRES
Priest: In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
People: Amen
Priest: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of GOD, and the
communion of Holy Spirit be with you all.
OR: Grace and peace from GOD our father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
OR. The Lord be with you.
People: And with your spirit.

In this first greeting a Bishop, instead of the Lord be with you,
Says: Peace be with you.
The priest, or a deacon, or another minister, may very briefly introduce the
faithful to the Mass or the day.
Penitential Act
Priest: Brethren (brothers and sisters), let us acknowledge our sins and so
prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.
A brief pause for silence follows. Then all recite together the formula of general confession :
Priest: May almighty GOD have mercy on us, forgive us our sins, and bring us to
the everlasting life.
People: Amen
Priest: Let us pray.
And all pray in silence with the priest for a moment. Then the priest says the
collect prayer, at the end of which the people acclaim: Amen
Priest: have mercy on us o Lord.
People: for we have sinned against you.
Priest: show us, o Lord, to mercy.
People: And grant us your salvation.
Priest: May almighty God have mercy on, forgive us our sins, and bring us to
everlasting life.
Priest: Amen

invocation with (lord have mercy):
You were sent to heal the contrite of heart: Lord have mercy.
People to call sinners : Christ, have mercy.

You are seated at the right hand of the father to intercede for us: Lord have

THE KYRIE, ELEISON
The Kyrie, eleison (Lord, have mercy) invocation follow, unless they have just
accrued in a formula of the penitential act.

THE GOLRIA
FIRST READING:
Then the reader goes to the ambo and reads the first reading, while all sit and listen. To
indicate the end of the reading, the reader acclaims:
The word of the LORD
All reply: Thanks be to GOD.
Responsorial psalm
The psalmist or cantor sings the psalm, with the people making the response
SECOND READING
After this, if there is to be a second reading, a reader read it from the ambo, as above. To
indicate the end of the reading, the reader acclaims:
The word of the LORD.

THE HOMELY:
The priest, standing at the altar, takes the paten with the bread saying:
Blessed are You, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the bread we
offer you: fruit of the earth and work of human hands twill become for us the bread of life.
Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation, for through your goodness we have received the wine we
offer you: fruit of the vine and work of human hands twill become our spiritual drink.
With humble spirit and contrite heart lay web accepted by you Lord, and may our sacrifice in your
sight this day be pleasing to you, Lord God.
If appropriate, he also incenses the offering, the cross, and the altar. A deacon or other minister
then incenses the priest and the people. The priest, standing at the side of the altar, washes his

You are indeed holy, O Lord, and all you have created rightly gives you praise, for though
your son our Jesus Christ, by the power and working of Holy Spirit, you give like to all things
and make them holy, and you never cease to gather a people to yourself, so that from the
sun to its setting a pure sacrifice may be offered your name
Invocation of the holy spirit for consecration
Therefore, O Lord, we humbly implore you : by the same spirit graciously make holy these
gifts we have brought to you for concecration, that they may become the body and † Blood
of your son our Lord Jesus Christ, at whose command we celebrate these mysteries.
Institution Narrative and consecration
For on the night he was betrayerd he himself took break ; and giving you thank he said the
blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his diciples, saying :
TAKE THIS ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS ISS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU
In a similar way, when supper was ended, he took the chalice and, once more giving thanks,

Memorial Acclametion
Priest : The mystery of faith
People : we proclaim your death o lord, and profess your resurection until your come
again.
Memorialof the Paschal Mystery and Offering
Therefore O Lord, as we celebrate the memorial of the saving Passion of your son, his
wondrous Resurection and Ascension into Heaven, and as we look forward to his second
coming, we offer you in thanksgiving this Holy living sacrifice.
Invocation of the Holy Spirit for the consecration
Look, we pray upon the celebration of your Church and, recognizing the sacrifical victim by
whose death you willed to reconcile us to yourself ,grant that xe , xho are nourished by the
Body and Blood of your Son and filled with his Holy Spirit , may become one body in Christ.
Prayer of the assembly
May he make of us an eternal offering to you, so that we may obtain an inheritence with you
elect, especially with thre most Blessed Virgin Mary Mother of God ,with your blessed
Apostles and glorious Martyrs and with all the Saints ,on whose constant intercession in your
presence we rely for unfailing help.
Prayer for the church and the world
May this sacrifice of our reconciliation ,we pray O Lord ,advance the peaceand the salvation
of all the world .Be pleased to confirm in faith and charity your pilgrim Church on earth ,
with your servant N…OUR POPE and N… Bishop, the order of Bishops, all the clergy, and the
entire people you have gained for your own. Listen graciously to the prayer of this family
,whom you have summoned before you :in your compassion, O merciful Father, gather to
yourself all your children scattered throughout the world.
Grant us peace.
The priest prepares himself for communion by a prayer, said quietly.
The faithful do the same, praying silently
May the receiving of your body and your blood, Lord Jesus Christ, not bring me judgment
and condemnation, but through your loving mercy be for me protection in mind and body, and
a hearing remedy;
Priest: Behold the lamb of God, behold him who takes away the sins of the word. Blessed are
those called to the supper of the lamb.
People: Lord i am not worthy that you Should enter under my roof, but only say the
word my soul shall be healed.
Priest: The Body of Christ
The communicant replies: AMEN
Lord Jesus, thank you for this Eucharistic celebration in which “are perpetuated the sacrifice
of the cross and the sacred banquet of communion to your body and Blood”. By the grace of
this sacrifice, may I become a worker of unity, communion, peace and joy among my brothers
and remain always faithful to you. Amen.
