Clarify Q: physical or digital, entire experience or just one feature, geography, demographic preference

1. Motivation (Why build?): Mission, Opportunities, Industry Trends, Other players

2. Identify user segments: Behaviour > Demographics, most frequent vs least frequent users
(Demand and Supply), Creator/Consumer, Host/Guest, Buyer/Seller, other stakeholders
MECE – mutually exclusive, collectively exclusive

3. Prioritize the users: different criteria’s (table) – TAM, Frequency of use, Spending power
4. Identify user pain points: take your own examples in your journey
5. Prioritize the pain points: No of people impacted, how painful, score
6. Brainstorm solution: specific pain point, user trends and tech, borrow from other industry
7. Prioritize solutions: RICE – Reach, Impact, Confidence, Effort

4 different categories:
1. Marketplace/Macroeconomics related = time, region/geography, festival, holiday, event,
price/fuel changes, other product categories
2. User specific = which stage of the funnel/journey, any particular demographics, news/public
sentiment, supply/demand side is same or changed
3. Competition specific = any announcement/features, better incentives, promotion campaigns
4. Technical specific = platform (web/mobile/android/ios), app version (old/new), any recent
experiment/feature, algorithm/backend change, app crashes
