A meeting held at Vedanta Limited Jharsuguda site between Vedanta Limited/STEAG and GE
Power on 28.09.2023 regarding the PG test of Unit#1 after completion of Combustion
Modification work. Following points were discussed during the meeting and recorded:

1. Performance Test shall be carried out in unit # 1 in-line with the approved performance
test procedure.

2. As per the current site operating condition, Boiler is being operated with 6 mills operation.
It is agreed between Vedanta Limited/STEAG & GEPIL that the PG test will be done with 6
mills operations.

3. Following pre-requisite points shall be maintained by Vedanta Limited /STEAG for PG


test at unit#1 & as per the approved PG test procedure:

Optimized tuning set up as per approved trial run test protocol shall be followed
for SOFA, CCOFA &Aux air Yaw position, SOFA& CCOFA damper position etc.
Allthe mills shall be loaded evenly.
Millfineness shall be checked, and millsadjusted to attain more than 75% through
200 mesh and 99.5% through 50 mesh. Get the latest fineness report not older than
15 days of the PG test date.
Excess air shall be as close as 20% during the PG Test. Corresponding average field
reading of 02 at APH inlet shall be approx. 3.5% (dryvol basis).
Wallblowing shall be carried out well before starting of test (approx. 2 hours before
the test).
All Feed Water heaters shall be in service.
CBD and IBD valves shall remain close during the test period.

The test shall be carried out on coalwithout any oil support fuel firing.
Any tap off for Auxiliary steam before Main Steam stop valve should be isolated
before the test.
Make-up water shall be maintained close to zero during the test.

4. GEPIL to measure the 02 &flue gas temperature at APH inlet. Out of the 15 ports, three
(3) numbers of the accessible existing ports selected from each pass of APH inlet (APH-A &
APH-B) shall be used for local measurements by traverse method (Ref. Clause no 7 of
approved PG test procedure).
