THE PROBLEM

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to determine the effects of water pollution in the marine biodiversity

in the Cebu-Mactan Ferry Terminal by the maritime activities. Moreover, this sought to

answer the following questions:

1. What are the common maritime activities in Cebu-Mactan Ferry Terminal in terms

of:

1.1 Water and air pollution;

1.2 Oil discharges;

1.3 Emissions;

2. How do activities affect the biodiversity in the area of Cebu- Mactan Ferry Terminal

in terms of:

2.1 Sanitation;

2.2 Health;

2.3 Hygiene;

3. Based on the findings, what recommendation can be proposed?
