The Effect Of Training Strategy on Employees’ Performance in


Jordanian Industrial Public Share-Holding Companies

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the application of Jordanian Industrial
Public Shareholding Companies for activities related to a clear strategy for training
and the impact on the staff performance level. Study Population consists of all
Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Companies , i.e. 81 companies in total. A
50% study sample was selected randomly from these companies, i.e. 40
companies, that adopt strategic plans and clear professional strategies for human
resources specially training.
The study target was the category of managers in these companies or their
representatives; 240 questionnaires have been distributed to these companies at the
rate of 6 questionnaires for each company; 206 questionnaires were received while
6 questionnaires were rejected, As a result, 200 questionnaires remained. The
study reached a number of results:
1- The application of Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Companies of
stages of the training process, from a strategic perspective , is high.
2- The Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Companies concentrate only
on seminars in training process while other methods were weak or
nonexistent.
3- Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Company do not attach an
importance to offering required materials for training process and do not
consider training as their strategic priority while senior management of
these companies attach some importance to training as a strategic activity .
4- These companies use modern technologies for the purpose of training in a
narrow range ,and concentrate on the traditional ones.
Finally, it is recommended that
1- Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Companies and senior management
should pay more attention and support to adopting clear training strategies
stemming from an overall strategy of the concerned entity.
2- The Companies need for diversification of training programs for its
members, the use of different training methods.
3- Jordanian Industrial Public Shareholding Companies need for focusing on
the use of modern technology in the application of training programs in
order to improve staff performance.
