Abstract
The irrigation metod is used for water
the plant constant but slowly without
the need of watering it every day. How
it works: The plant is connected to a
jug full of water (located at a higher
altitude) with a capilar conduct. Water
cross the conduct slowly until arriving
the plant and it falls in the form of
drops, so the plant is watered.
Methodology We started by planting a radish plant
and making a test with different wool
Wooden platform threads and pieces of ropes, we put
Pot with plant them in a bottle and checked which
Clay jugs one was the one that had protruded
Piece of wool yarn the most from the bottle in 10-20
minutes. He won a piece of fine rope.
Then we put the pot next to a water
bottle connected by that piece of
rope and left it one night to see if it
had worked. The test went well so we
thought about making a kind of clay
bottle to put the water. After we
connected the rope so that it goes
from the water to the plant.
DiscusSion
of results
During the project, we had a
problem, we wanted to make a
clay pitcher to carry the water,
but we realized that the clay
could be softened with the
contact of the water, so we
decided to put a layer of glue
to insulate the clay.
We have bought clay for the jar and
it has cost us 1.80 €
