Raimuna camp atmosphere

Raimuna camp is an activity that scouts have been waiting for because it is attended by all
scouts throughout the district. Scout practice every Friday after school to welcome the district-
wide scout camp event. In order to bring home the trophy and become winners, we practice
marching, practice cooking, practice building tents, practice performing arts and so on. Then,
after completing the training, we looked for bamboo as material to make fences and to make
viewing towers (pioneering). One day before camping day, I had imagined what it would be
like to live in the open air for a few days.

At 10 am we went by car to carry camping supplies. When we arrived at the campsite, we

immediately built a tent surrounded by a bamboo fence and made a small kitchen next to it.
Not long after, campers from other schools began to arrive and immediately set up their
respective tents. At 12 pm all camp participants gathered in the field to take part in the camp
opening ceremony then continued with competitions starting from marching (LTBB), cooking
competitions, and competitions to make viewing towers (pioneering) which lasted until 5 pm.
All participants worked together and were very enthusiastic despite the hot weather which
showed their enthusiasm for this camp event. After finishing the race, we returned to the tent
to eat together, pray and get ready for the next event.

In the evening at 7 pm there are arts performances including singing, dancing, theater, poetry,
puppet shows and musical dramas performed on stage. All participants wore different and
interesting costumes. The atmosphere that night was very lively and the air was cold. We
enjoyed the show, clapping and singing along. Then at 9 pm, we gathered again in the field in
a circle formation and watched the peak event, namely the bonfire, with great emotion. We held
each other's hands, the atmosphere was very warm, like gathering with family. I felt very happy
and touched because I did it with my friends.

Camping is a scout activity that is always looked forward to. Apart from the excitement, by
camping we learn survival skills and experience the beauty of the outdoors. Camping tests us
to compete while creating unforgettable memories Camping can also foster a sense of
community and provide valuable experiences.
