Assignment:

 As a future language teacher, how will you apply direct instruction in a classroom
setting?

As a future language teacher, I will apply the direct instruction in the classroom
setting through engaging my students to the topic I will be discussing and teaching
them. I will use the target language as the mode of delivering my discussion to them
and let them use the native language in answering me whenever I will be asking
them. There will be interaction between my students and I for example if ever they
will have questions regarding my discussion , I will answer them and vice versa.
After the discussion, I will give them an assessment or group presentations in order
to test their learning and understanding about the topic I will be discussing. I will
teach them in small steps with practice after each step, guiding them during initial
practice, and ensuring that all of them will experience a high level of successful
practice. After their assessments and presentations, I will give my feedback in order
for them to know their lacking and what to improve. Therefore as a language teacher
someday, I want my students to learn the target language in a fun and creative way
in order for them not to feel boredom, sleepy and laziness.
