Sub: Minutes of Board meeting held on date 20.09.2023 on Review of Safety

Ref: (a) Railway Board’s letter No. 2023/CE-II/Board Meeting dt. 23.10.2023
(b) Rly Board’s letter No. 2015/CE-II/TK/14 dated 21.09.2023

With reference to the above, Railway Board has suggested to use 1m Fish plate with all 6 bolt
for rail joints, use of Torque Wrench for proper tightening of bolts as per IRPWM Pare 620, provision
of Stationary Watchman and regular counseling to sensitizing of staff to avoid shortcut in working.

Instructions on “Safety precautions at worksites” were also reiterated as ref.(b) above.

The above letter at ref (a) & (b) are enclosed herewith to take cognizance of the action to be
taken by the divisions for implementing the recommendation.

The current status of implementation of the suggestions recommended by Rly Bd may please
be submitted by the divisions to this office.
