masses has reached its
final stage. Nearly 1.44
crore families have been
subjected to health screen-
ing so far.
This was stated at a
review on the programme
held by Chief Minister
Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy
with district collectors in
video-conferencing mode
on Monday. Health minis-

The Chief Minister said
the health camps to screen
the people for various ail-
ments have covered 91 per
cent of the homes in urban
areas and 94.94 per cent in
rural areas. The 1.44 crore
families screened
involved ANMs, commu-

Some 6.4 crore rapid
tests were conducted with
an average of four such
tests in each household.

areas would be completed
by November 22 and in

85,000 patients were

Born on September 14, 1960
in a hill village of Bharatpur
district in Rajasthan and did
his BE Civil (Hons) from

1985 batch IAS officer and

ment including as secretary in

employment and also as joint
secretary in the ministry of
chemicals and fertilisers. He
also served as the information
commissioner from Nov. 7,

Singh Gajjan Majra in connec-
tion with a money laundering
investigation linked to a bank
fraud case.
According to the official
sources, the legislator was
taken into custody under pro-
visions of the Prevention of
Money Laundering Act after
he was detained by agency offi-
cials from a public meeting he
was holding in Malerkotla.
The sources alleged that
Gajjan Majra, a legislator from
the Amargarh assembly con-
stituency, had skipped multi-
ple summons issued to him in
the past and hence, was
detained by the officials and
then arrested after question-
ing.
