I am writing to apply for the job of Project Engineer I see advertised in the website
“Your Food Job”. I think that is an excellent opportunity where I can learn more about
the food manufacturing business. Also, I am in love with Scotland and I saw this job like
the perfect option to live in this amazing country.
Firstly, your job listing mentions a need for someone who have a strong working
knowledge of design software, including AutoCAD and have worked within the food
manufacturing, I have all these requirements. What’s more, I want to explain my
experience in this sector. For the last year I have been working as manager of multiple
agronomic projects. In addition, two years ago I was employed in the Orchard of a
Foundation in Montecarmelo, Madrid. There I could learnt a lot about a vegetables
and fruits for production and I had the experience to work in a big company as yours.
In the university, where I studied Agricultural Engineering, I was working in the
department of agriculture production for 2 years. In that time, I could acquire
experience in the agronomic sector and I could learn more about how the professional
engineers like my teachers worked.
About my personality, I am able to learn extremely fast and I am a creative person. The
people are used to define myself like a person with a strong social ability and that I am
able to adapt myself to different situations.
To conclude, I am really interested in this position and would appreciate your

Dear Mr Jones,

Stock Control Software System

Thank you for your letter of 1st September and the information you sent regarding the stock

control system offered by your company. I certainly feel the system will meet our

requirements. However, there are some points which I would like clarified before we go

ahead and order the system.

Firstly, although you mentioned that the system has recently been updated, I wondered

whether we might be eligible for a discount on any future upgrades.

Secondly, the installation and implementation period of three weeks, to which you refer in

your letter, seems rather long. Is there any possibility of getting the system up and running

on a shorter timescale?

I would be very grateful for a swift response to these queries in order that we can begin the

process as soon as possible. Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your
