Camel

- Camels can survive up to 15 days without water. One of

the reasons that they can survive that long is because of
their humps. They store fat in their humps (not water) and
can use this to help them go longer without water.

Cactus

- A cactus has special adaptations in its roots, leaves as

well as stems that enable it to thrive in desert
environments. These adaptations include: Leaves are
reduced to spines to reduce water loss through
transpiration. Wide and deep roots absorb rainwater on
the surface and reach the underground deep water.
