Prerequisites
l You are familiar with operating computers in a Windows environment.
l You have knowledge of data communication network fundamentals.
l You have a basic understanding of TCP/IP.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to describe computer networks, identify different
types of computer networks and main concepts; understand the rationale behind the layered
hierarchical network design; discuss the major technologies and protocols at the data link layer,
network layer, and transport layer.

HL-102 Getting Started with H3C Network Devices

Prerequisites
You have completed course HL-101 or met the requirements of course HL-101.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to describe the structure of routers and switches
and their operating system features; use the command line interface (CLI) to perform basic
management and configuration for routers and switches in multiple approaches; and use basic
commands for troubleshooting.

HL-103 Configuring LAN Switching

Prerequisites
You have completed course HL-102 or met the requirements of course HL-102.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to describe how an Ethernet switch works;
configure VLANs and trunks in a small-sized switched network; discuss STP and perform basic STP
configuration; and perform basic port security and link aggregation configuration on H3C switches.

Ethernet switches
l VLAN, 802.1Q tag, and trunk links
l The fundamentals, functions, features, and basic configuration of STP/RSTP/MSTP

HL-104 Advanced TCP/IP

Prerequisites
You have completed course HL-103 or met the requirements of course HL-103.

Objectives
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to perform IP address planning and allocation;
describe how the TCP/IP suite of protocols (including DHCP, FTP/TFTP, and DNS) work, and perform
basic configuration for them; and identify the features of IPv6 and describe the IPv6 address
structure.

resolution
l The fundamentals, functions, and features of FTP/TFTP
l The rationale and functions of DHCP and the structure of a DHCP system
