A worthy successor to the 2012 4520CI

I've had the 4520CI since 2012 and have been

waiting for the "next generation" flagship to
overtake it's 11.2 capability. This is it! Soon will
be at 9.2.4, thank you Denon.

It’s been a long time coming!

I’ve owned many different Denon AVR’s since

2000. I just ordered the 8500 from my local
Denon retailer (Magnolia) to replace my current
Denon AVR-X7200WA. The 8500 is the first
beast receiver to hit the market since the 5308ci.
It’s weight of just over 50 lbs says a lot to what
this monster has under the hood! I’m so happy
and thankful to see Denon bring another heavy
duty high end AVR to the market especially for us
that are true audiophiles such as myself! I’ll post
another review as soon as I have it up and
running in my theater. To be continued........

Well worth every penny!

This beast is Awesome! It's got the best sound

quality I have ever heard. It even beats out my
Onkyo 3009. And that says a lot for me. The
implementation of the internal Audessey is
amazing. And it's audio restorer function works
so well, it makes you feel like you are being
personally sung to.
As for the power, devastating! And very clear,
clean, and quiet even at reference levels.
Could not be happier! Plus seeing "Made in
Japan" brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Outstanding Receiver

This is my first Denon receiver and I am

completely blown away by it. I have owned other
numerous brands of receivers and Denon has
made me true believer in the quality of their
components. It has such superb sound and
picture. Also the build quality is great and it
shows on every component that I have connected
to it. Plus I like how that there will be a HDMI
hardware upgrade eventually later on this year to
help future proof this component. Thank you
Denon for such a wonderful component.
