Narrative Report For 4 O' Clock Habit Against Dengue
Narrative Report For 4 O' Clock Habit Against Dengue
Region III
DIVISION OF CITY OF BALANGA
District II
TANATO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
There are so many kinds of diseases and epidemics that scares every Filipino nowadays. Those ailments
and diseases that are very deadly and can take the lives of everyone, even we are always caring ourselves healthy.
The cleanliness of the surroundings is the key factor in ensuring the health of the people in the community because it
is where different kinds of harmful animals and pests may linger, like the dengue mosquitoes.
The dengue mosquitoes like “aedes albopictus and aedes egypti” can cause severe damage to the body of a
person if not prevented immediately. Even with the use of modern technology and various medicines to fight the
complications being brought by these pests, cleanliness and self-discipline is still the best defense to keep ourselves
against these animals.
In line with this, with the initiative of our government, and with its co-partners---the Department of
Education and Department of Health---together with our local government units, doing its best to inform everyone
about the ways of preventing ourselves to be attacked by the “dengue virus”, every school must have a continuous
routine of cleaning the surroundings, inside or even outside the classrooms, so that the mosquitoes can be driven
away.
That’s why, our school, with the leadership of our Principal Norma B. Rico and our newly appointed
School Head Rufina E. Ramos, together with the School Health and Nutrition Coordinator Michelle Dee E. Manalo,
Science and Health Coordinator Dennis M. Flores, and E.P.P. Coordinator Luningning E. Ruiz, joined hands
together with the pupils, teachers, parents, and brgy. officials in conducting the “4 o’ Clock Habit Against Dengue”
in the school and in the community.
By using some materials in cleaning the surroundings, particularly the classrooms and hidden corners of the
school, also the potential areas where may the mosquitoes breed, this activity may help to lessen the possibilities of
having casualties of dengue virus in the school and the barangay.
At the end of this activity, everyone is expecting that this conduct must be continuous so that we may
expect a “dengue-free” community.
