TOPIC: TYPES OF GRAPHIC ORGANIZER

LC1: Determine the effect of textual aids like advance EN10RC-Ia-2.15.2


organizers, titles, non-linear illustrations, etc. on the
understanding of a text.
LC2: Get information that can be used in everyday life from
news reports, speeches, informative talks, panel discussions, EN10LC-Ia-11-1
etc.

OBJECTIVE: At the end of the lesson, the learners will be able to:
1. Identify the different types of graphic organizers.
2. Create a flowchart regarding the information gathered.

PROCEDURE:
 Start the class with a prayer.
 Start with a review of the previous lesson.
 From there, continue with the remaining discussion specifically on the type of graphic
organizer which is Hierarchy and Tree Diagram (please refer to the previous lesson plan
dated September 5-9, 2022)
 After which, let them work on the activities prepared.

Activity 1: Remember Me!


Instructions: In a piece of paper, write down all the graphic organizers you have
remembered and explain its usage and function. See item no. 1 in the table below for
reference.

Activity 2: Go with the Flow:


Instructions: Create a flowchart regarding the information you have gathered about a topic in a
news, speech, panel discussions, etc. You can make use of the template below.

The teacher will distribute a copy/present the KWL Chart activity. This is to assess the
learners’ prior knowledge on the topic, what they already know about the topic (in the long
run), and what have they learned about the topic at the end of the discussion.

 Use their answers as the springboard of the discussion.
 Start discussing topic which is about the types of graphic organizers.
 After which, let them work on the activities prepared.
