OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Indication Table and Reporting Overview Prior to recording a flaw, ensure that the data is zoomed appropriately, the overlay options are enabled as desired, and all cursors are positioned as intended. Ensure that the 8 readings selected are as intended as all will appear in the indication table and report. OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Indication Table and Reporting Overview cont. Flaws are recoded directly on the touch screen by a touch and hold or right mouse click in the readings area. Select add indication. A record is created in the OmniScan indication table that includes the following information: – Scan position of data cursor. – Group number. – UT channel or focal law. – 8 customizable readings that appear in the header. – Probe skew (Orientation) – Screen shot of the current layout. OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Indication Table Setup cont. In the >Mode: Indications menu comments can be added with the touch screen keyboard and entries can be deleted. The operator is prompted to save the data file including indication entries upon closing OmniPC, powering down the OmniScan, or switching files. OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Report Format and Configuration The OmniScan report is configured in >File>Report>Category: Format. The report can include: – Table. (Best format option for multiple indication reports) – Current layout. (Best format option for single indication reports) – Off. (No indication table information is included in the report) OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Report Format and Configuration cont. Report templates are formatted to include information relative to the applications. If the TOFD group was created using the application wizard or if TOFD technique was selected in the group set wizard, the TOFD report template will automatically be associated with the TOFD data file. If not already selected, select the TOFD report template in >File>Report>Template. Text for the report header and notes that appears in the report are entered here as well. OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Report Preview The OmniScan report is previewed and saved in >File>Report>Category: Open\Save. The report includes instrument and software information, setup configuration, the material and inspection parameters, and flaw entries from the indication table. The logo that appears in the header can also be customized. (See OmniScan software manual) OmniScan SX \ MX2 TOFD – Report Save The report is saved to the :\User\Report folder on the OmniScan flash card. The report is an .Htm file that includes a sub folder for images and can be viewed or printed from any web browser or opened in Microsoft Word for editing.
