(5) EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

There has been a huge spike in prices of oil to power different machineries. Many Filipinos
suffer from financial problems due to this problem. Different fuels was made to supply many
countries with a new and better fuel, and one of them is the so called biofuel. This can be the
future energy supplier for the earth, and that is why the researches came to this idea to use papers
as an alternative source of fuel. This project aims to provide more fuels for the citizens to use,
and to lessen the financial amount needed to spend. Moreover, this may help in contributing to
the waste that people throw away. It's been a huge problem since the beginning, where humans
tend to throw away their wastes, like papers, on places where it shouldn't be thrown at, and that
is why the investigators came to this idea. The research will be conducted by using several types
of paper to test and see if there would be any difference to the outcome of the experiment. After
getting the desired results, the examiners will be testing the fuels to see if it would power up the
machine and make it work. The amount of fuel that can be made from paper will be determined
after taking to account on how long would the machine stay working. This activity will be
further examined and determined after getting the result. It's also worth it to study more about the
efficiency and replicability of this project.
(6) INTRODUCTION
a. Background of the Study

Many countries like the Philippines, are experiencing a major problem in terms of fuel
prices. Some individuals are upset with the given price, and some are having a huge
financial problem. Fuels are very important for us, since they basically run almost
everything in our world. Cars, Machines, even the electricity that humans need in order to
survive is powered by fuels. So many things depend on it, and if we continue to succumb to
these difficulties, many people would be living in poverty. The main purpose of this
research is to make a favorable solution to lessen the burden of many individuals in their
financial management. There would be a huge chance that this could benefit the world,
since it could prevent bigger problems from rising. It may also contribute to waste pollution,
since the main ingredient of this activity would be paper, one of the most common things
that are being wasted everyday.

(6.1) RATIONAL/SIGNIFICANCE

Statement of the Problem

As indicated in various other texts, the cost of fuel has experienced a significant increase,
resulting in financial burdens for individuals. However, the problem goes beyond financial
implications, as the type of fuel being utilized also poses a great threat to our environment.
In essence, this dual problem of economic strain and environmental degradation highlights
the necessity for researchers to conduct a thorough study on alternative solutions.

This research will seek to answer these following questions:

1. Can paper be used properly as a fuel?

2. How can you reduce the amount of wasted paper when using it as a fuel?

3. Would it make any significant impacts in solutioning the financial problems of various
individuals?

4. What notable differences can be identified between the normally used fuel and paper
made fuel in terms of:

1. efficiency;
2. replicability; and
3. cost
Objectives

General: To make a renewable source of energy that people can use for their daily lives.
Specific: To lessen the financial burden of many individuals and potentially make a better
and more affordable fuel.

Hypothesis

Ho - There is no notable difference between normally used fuel and paper-made fuel in
terms of;
a. Affordability
b. Efficiency
c. Accessibility

Ha- There is a notable difference between normally used fuel and paper-made fuel in terms
of;
a. quality
b. price
c. elements
