JINGLE MAKING CONTEST

Mechanics for the 2023 National Observance of the Filipino Values Month Jingle Making Contest:
Theme: MATATAG na Edukasyon, MATATAG na KARAKTER MORAL: Kaakibat ng Magandang Kinabukasan ng
Bawat Pilipino.

1. COMPOSITION
- The jingle must be in Filipino language.
- The content of the jingle must be lively, appealing, creative and must highlight the theme.
- The time duration for the jingle must be less than 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes.
- The jingle must be an original composition and must not have been used as entry in any song
competitions.
- Any musical instrument can be used as accompaniment.
- The use of offensive and rude words is strictly prohibited.

2. PARTICIPANTS
- The contest is open only for grade 9 level students of Lawang Bato National High School.
- Only one (1) group representative per section is allowed, minimum of 12 and maximum of 16
students.
- Only one (1) entry per section will qualify for the contest.

3. ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
- Entry must be submitted upon registration with lyric sheet, and official list of members per section.
(short bond paper)
- The registration period will start from November 20 and will end on November 28, 2023.
(Look for Sir John Clark Gregorio or ESP club officers for registration)
- The jingle entry will be performed on the day of elimination round.
- Only registered participants will qualify for the elimination round that will be held on November 29,
2023 @ 1:00 o’clock in the afternoon.

4. CRITERIA
The following criteria shall be used in judging:
COMPOSITION - 35% (catchy melody, lively music, rhythm, and recall)
RELEVANCE TO THE THEME - 20%
LYRIC CONTENT - 20% (originality, clarity of message, language, and phrasing)
CREATIVITY - 20% (use of structure, instruments, vocals, and props)
APPEAL/IMPACT - 5%
