Target Research Topic:
Financial Problem of every students in the Philippines
Suggested Research Title:
Financially distressed students now in dire circumstances
Statement of the Problem:
Financial problem is a situation where money worries are causing stress, a situation in which you’re not able
to meet your bills on time or afford necessary basic needs. This explains that financial difficulties are a
major issue within the society and mainly a stress to many students. Money holds such power over people, it
gives them the capability to do what they want to do, whatever that may be. Some people feel money gives
them sense of personal worth. They feel that if they don’t have much money, they are not worth much as a
person. This kind of thinking is embedded to most of the people in the world. These factors often place more
stress on people, especially on a student which can negatively impact the student’s ability to succeed in a
school, especially students living in poverty who often have fewer resources at home to complete their
homeworks, study, or engage in activities that helps equip them for success. Therefore, there are a lot of
students who needs to work at such an early age due to the fact that their parents don’t provide enough
money for expenses in daily life and school fees are too much, this leads to students having a neeed to earn
money through part-time jobs. This also explains how this can negatively affect student’s mental health,
anxiety and as well as academic achievement related stress, they won’t have a time to take a breather or to
relax or enjoy due to their time being covered with studying and earning for money for their everyday and
school expenses.
