About the Contributors

n Bolaji Omitola is an Associate Professor of Political Science, Depart-


ment of Political Sciences, Osun State University, Osogbo, Nigeria.

n Chris Landsberg is NRF-DST SARChI Chair in African Diplomacy and


Foreign Policy at the University of Johannesburg. He is also a Senior
Associate at the UJ School of Leadership, and Acting Director of the In-
stitute for Pan-African Thought and Conversation. He is former chair of
politics at the University of Johannesburg. Previously he was director at
the Centre for Policy Studies, and cofounder and former co-director of
the Centre for Africa’s International Relations at Wits. He has written
and lectured widely on foreign policy and the international relations of
South Africa and African continentalism.

n Morgan Ndlovu is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Development


Studies of the University of South Africa (UNISA). He holds a PhD in
Social Anthropology from Monash University, MSc in Social Research
Methods from Sussex University, MA in Public Policy and Management
from York University and MA in Tourism from the University of the
Witwatersrand. He has published extensively on identity, culture and
development in Africa.

n Eric Blanco Niyitunga holds a PhD in Politics and International Rela-


tions from the University of Johannesburg in the SARChI Chair: African
Diplomacy and Foreign Policy and Politics and International Relations
Department. He holds a Masters of Arts in International Peace and Se-
curity from King’s College London, UK. He also holds Bachelor of Arts
in Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies from Daystar University,
Kenya. Currently, He is a senior lecturer in the School of Leadership,
Faculty of Management, at the University of Johannesburg.

n Ferdinand O.Ottoh holds a PhD in Political Science and a lecturer at the


University of Lagos, Nigeria. He is a scholar in International Relations
and Strategic Studies with many years of teaching and research. He has
published in local and international journals. He is an alumnus of West
Africa Peacebuilding Institute.

n John W. Forje studied at the Universities of Lund (Sweden). Hull and Sal-
ford (UK) and the College of Graphical Arts and Technology (Denmark). v

n Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi is an Associate Professor of Philosophy at


the Department of Philosophy and Religions, University of Abuja and
Founder, Centre for Critical Thinking and Resourceful Research in Africa
(CECTRRA) based at Abuja, Nigeria. He was Visiting Associate Professor
of Philosophy at the Great Zimbabwe University in 2014.

n Douglas Menemo holds a PhD in Development Studies – Unisa, Lecturer


in Development Studies, Midlands State University, Gweru, Zimbabwe.

n Ufiem Maurice Ogbonnaya is a Research Fellow with the National In-


stitute for Policy & Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Nigeria. A Laureate
of the VII South-South Institute, Bangkok, Thailand.

n Osinimu Femi-Adedayo is a Research Fellow with the Centre for Strate-


gic Research and Studies, National Defence College, Abuja, Nigeria.

n William Mpofu is a researcher at the Wits Centre for Diversity Studies

doctoral degree in Decolonial Studies at the University of South Africa.
William Mpofu is a member of Africa Decolonial Research Network
(ADERN), a collective of scholars in the Global South that privilege
Decoloniality.

n Akhona Nkenkana is an MA candidate at UNISA under the supervi-


sion of the Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute and also works
for Statistics South Africa as a Survey Statistician. She is an emerging
decolonial scholar whose research interests include Decoloniality, Deco-
lonial Feminism, Pan-Africanism and the African Renaissance.

n Tendayi Sithole is Associate Professor at the Department of Political Sci-


ences and faculty member at Thabo Mbeki African Leadership Institute,
University of South Africa. He is the author of Steve Biko: Decolonial
Meditations of Black Consciousness (Lanham MD, Lexington Books,
2016).
