1 - Sum up what happened to X.F.

XF , a 16-year-old student from high school was forced to pledge allegiance to the US flag, when he refused he
was disciplined again and again / over and over until he complied, therefore he sued / took his school to court.

2 – Explain XF’s reaction to the Pledge of Allegiance.

X.F just refused to recite the Pledge of Allegiance, he indeed refused to stand because he keeps disagreeing
with the religious aspect of the Ledge. Furthermore we can imagine that he is just fed up with reciting this
everyday. He also strongly believes this ritual unconstitutional. The fact that this kind of behavior happens all
across the USA can make us think that the civil rights are often violated.
