Subject: Modification in ET140 9 Speed transmission uppercase top cover and oil seal.
In our continuous efforts towards product improvement, we are pleased to inform modification on
uppercase top cover assembly and oil seal in ET140 9 Speed transmission.
 Modification details:-
 Transmission upper case top cover depth increased by 03 mm for better contact of oil seal.
 Oil seal width increased by 02 mm in line with uppercase modification.

mm was 6.2+0.2 mm

Oil seal width Increase from 5 mm to 7mm

**In event of new Upper Case Top fitment, it is recommended to use new oil seal part number only.

Note –
 Kindly refer e-Catalogue (Online Parts Catalogue) for detailed serviceable parts information.
 From now onwards modified serviceable parts would be supplied from VEPDC.
 Old upper case top part number will be superseded with new part number. However existing Oil
seal & new oil seal both parts will be in supply. Dealers are requested to place order according to
their requirements.

Above mentioned modification has been implemented on 100% basis w.e.f. below cut off chassis
numbers:
