SIMONU ACTIVITY

COMMISSION: THEME: O.D.S. assigned

DELEGATION: Assigned country NAME: Student's name

OPENING SPEECH

In this space the opening speech is written, greeting the other delegations present and giving
a brief introduction of the assigned country.

It is a diplomatic document, prepared for the purpose of reading it at the beginning of the
simulation in the work of the commissions. There is no single structure. Speeches do not last
more than a minute or a minute and a half. In the heading of the speech should be the flag
and the coat of arms of the country.

Greetings:
Sometimes some delegates read a quote allusive to the theme before starting the greeting,
which is permitted and generates an impact on the audience. You can adapt it to t h e needs of
your speech, the important thing is that you include the greeting to the table and the other
delegations at some point in the speech.

Example: Honorable officers, honorable delegations, observers, observers and other persons
present in the room. Good morning.

Body:
• The topic to be discussed should be worked on, an introduction of the country's position,
clarity on how the topic affects the country I am representing and the inclusion of specific
figures, data and percentages.

Conclusion:
When closing the speech you should present the main arguments, ideas or proposals that will
be carried out in the work during the simulation. You can close your speech by saying thank
you or with a quote.

It is the preparation document that gathers the search for information on the topic under
investigation, it is informative and is the working instrument that will guide the participation in
the simulation. This process is very important because the most relevant and significant points
can be identified in order to carry out the debate on the topic and the approach to be worked
on.

proposals, etc.
