II. BACKGROUND AND CONTEXT

Balanoy Elementary School has always been providing the quality education. Both
internal and external stakeholders continue to work hand in hand to make the teaching and
learning process more engaging and interactive. The use of media to enhance teaching and
learning complements traditional approaches to learning. Effective instruction with the use
of media like television in presenting lessons builds bridges between learners' knowledge
and the learning objective. It engages learners, aids learners’ retention of knowledge,
motivates interest in the subject matter, and illustrates the relevance of many concepts. It
also enables them to explore new learnings and deepen their understanding of difficult
concepts with the guidance of their teacher.

This project aims to continue to provide quality education to the learners of Balanoy
Elementary School particularly Grade Four pupils by making the teaching and learning
process more engaging, enjoyable, interactive, and interesting through the utilization of
Television which will create opportunity for differentiated instruction to meet the needs of
diverse learners in the classroom.

Financial needs to be used in this project will be sourced out from solicitations and
donations from internal and external stakeholders. The success of this project will be
beneficial to the academic performance of the learners in Balanoy Elementary School
specifically to the Grade Four learners.

III. LIST OF GAPS AND NEEDS IDENTIFIED

Nowadays, integration of technology inside the classroom is one of the effective


ways to upgrade the services in enhancing teachings standards and learning outcomes
specially in a classroom with Generation Z learners.
Here are the list of the gaps and needs identified:
1. Video lessons and PowerPoint lessons presentations prepared by the teacher are
not being used due to lack of television in the classroom. Provide television in the
classroom to utilize the digital resources.
2. It consumes too much time on part of the teacher in preparing printed
instructional materials like tarpapel, flashcards, and others. If television is
available, it will save time for the teacher and can do other important matter like
making and conducting interventions and action plan to address learning needs of
the learners.

3. With 51 pupils in Grade Four classroom it is a challenge to some learners to


clearly see the lessons and hear the teacher even in the maximum modulated voice.
If television is available, it will address this challenge with the help of visual
integration and sound incorporation.
4. Lack of funds to purchase the Television. Coordinate with HPTA officers and
parents in outsourcing funds to provide Television which will greatly help both
teacher and learners in the teaching and learning process.
The identified gaps provide ideas to the proponents of having a worthwhile
intervention which make the teaching and learning more engaging and interesting.

IV. PROPOSED PROJECT DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES

Nowadays, television is one of the technologies being used by teachers to


disseminate knowledge (Louise, 2018). It also helps teachers to facilitate learning
effectively inside the classroom. It is an effective tool in presenting information,
abstract concepts, and ideas to the learners and it can potentially improve their
academic skills when used intentionally for the specific purpose. It gives opportunity to
the learners to experience more technology-supported learning that is interactive,
interdisciplinary, collaborative, and authentic. It caters to the different learning styles of
learners, by offering a unique combination of sight, sound, motion, and emotion, which
can give learners a greater understanding of the world around them. Moreso, the
teacher is considered as millennial who is effective and efficient in using technology
which will greatly compliment the effective use of Television inside the classroom. In
this reasons, the proponent believes that providing television in the classroom will
benefit both teacher and learners.

This now comes in the purpose of this Project TELEVISION (To create more
Engaging Learning Environment through Visual Integration and Sound Incorporation in
Organizing and presenting Needed lessons)

Project Objectives
Project TELEVISION (To create more Engaging Learning Environment
through Visual Integration and Sound Incorporation in Organizing and presenting
Needed lessons) aims to:
1. Provide television to utilize digital resources prepared by the teacher.

2. Lessen time preparation of teachers in making printed materials and spend


it on making other important matter like making and conducting
interventions and action plan to address learning needs of the learners.

3. Make teaching and learning process more engaging and interactive with
the help of media.
4. Create pathways for differentiated instruction to meet the needs of diverse
learners.
5. Increase learners’ motivation and interest to learn.
6. Stimulate other learning activities using technology.

The results of the Project TELEVISION will make teaching and learning
process undoubtedly more dynamic and engaging. It will give more motivation to
the learners that will increase their interest in acquiring new knowledge. In
addition, this project will accommodate the different learning styles of learners by
offering a unique combination of sight, sound, motion, and emotion, which can give
learners a greater understanding of the topic being presented by the teacher. It will
also stimulate other learning activities which will make them more active in
classroom discussion.

The active participation of stakeholders will also develop meaningful and


respectful school-community relationships by actively involving them in providing
support for the sustainability of high standards of instruction at Balanoy Elementary
School.

5.3.1. Funding Source:


Project requires funding on the acquisition of materials need for the
implementation of this project that maybe sourced out from stakeholders and other
donors. Expenses from the printing of materials will be shouldered by the
proponent.

5.5. Project Monitoring and Evaluation

In the implementation of project TELEVISION, monitoring of the expenses


and donation will be done by the proponent and proper accounting and reporting
will be made weekly by the treasurer until the completion of the project.
Procurement and installation of TELEVISION will be monitored by the BAC
chairman and school property custodian.

Financial statements will be furnished in the transparency board by the


Homeroom PTA Treasurer and will be subject for auditing.
Final validation will be done once all the necessary developments and
improvements of the project is made. Proper documentation and an
accomplishment report will be submitted to the division office for approval.
