1 Precautions

1-1 Safety Precautions

Only the competent service technicians who have grasped the whole techniques
of refrigerating circulation system and safety inspection regulations can make
the service operations according to the specifications in the relevant manual.

! This product has applied R600a refrigerant, flammable and explosive, so

attention shall be paid to the ventilation of the service area to ensure the safety.

Unplug the refrigerator before making any repair or replacement.

Avoid electrical shock.
Proper components shall be used for replacement.
Check the model, name, rated voltage, rated current and operating
temperature symbols etc.

Wire harnesses shall be connected tightly during the repairs.

Do not get disconnected during power on.

Check if there is any sign of water leakage on electrical parts.

If there is any sign of water leakage, parts shall be replaced or bonded tightly.

After repair, check the assembled status of the parts.

It shall be same as the state before repair.

Check the application conditions of the refrigerator.

If the refrigerator is installed in a damp or unstable place, the installation
location shall be changed.

Make earthing when necessary.

Especially, the appliance shall be earthed if there is any risk of electrical
leakage due to the dampness.

Do not insert several plugs in one socket at the same time.

Check if power cord and socket are damaged, squeezed or flamed.
Repair or replace the damaged plug or socket immediately.

Do not store any food or bottle that easily gets spoiled in the freezer.

The user shall not repair the refrigerator by himself.

Do not store any other material except food.

Medicines or materials for research; it is difficult to keep precise temperature
for them.
Flammable articles (alcohol, benzene, ether, LP gas, butane etc.): there is a
risk of explosion.

1-2 Precautions during Repair

1. When replacing the relay connected to the lead terminal on the compressor, it
shall be pulled out and inserted directly. Any shake up and down or left to right
may damage the lead terminal on the compressor or the relay when being

4-3 Relay

Working Principle Inspection Method

This solid relay differs from that of the

mechanical type. It has neither coils nor
adaptable terminals.
Composed of a small solid wafer that has
low resistance under room temperature (5-
33ohm), the relay is installed between the
two poles connecting to the compressor
lead terminals.

When the voltage is applied to the TERMINALS

compressor circuit, the current will flows
through the run coil, the relay and the start
coil are connected in parallel. The low
resistance of the relay will get enough
current through the start coil and start
compressor.
The increasing resistance of the relay will
reduce the current to weak level that will
keep the relay resistance at a high level
and leave the relay open .
This kind of relay is called PTC (positive
temperature coefficient) relay whose
WAFER
resistance varies with temperature.
This solid relay can be tested with a
ohmmeter. The resistance value drawn
under room temperature shall fall within the
nominated value with 10% allowance as
indicated in the appliance circuit diagram.

4-4 Test Function

1) Test function is a single test, prepared for test, engineering inspection and repair of the
whole refrigerator;
2) Press the combined buttons and enter test function to confirm product function.
Disconnect and reconnect the power to restart the refrigerator for self-inspection.

Forced Startup Function and Forced Defrosting Functions

1) Press both Super Freeze and Fridge Temperature buttons for over 6 seconds,
the display in the Panel will show ON and OFF repeatedly in a cycle of 0.5 seconds and
the refrigerator enters TEST mode;

mm inside. When changing the filter, cut 30mm off the capillary that shall be inserted to the
filter with 10-20mm depth in the filter. When the Welding is finished, vacuumize the
compressor and add the fluid in a required quantity as per the nameplate. Finally seal the
opening of the process pipe.

5-5 Change Freezer Evaporator

Take out the freezer drawers. Take down the screws of COVER EVAP FRONT and take it
out. Then remove the screws of COVER EVAP REAR and take it out. Cut the process pip
connected to the compressor to release the refrigerant. Burn the inlet and outlet of the
freezer evaporator with a Welding gun and pull out the freezer evaporator out along the
groove. Then change it with a new one. Vacuumize the compressor and add the fluid in a
required quantity as per the nameplate. Finally seal the opening of he process pipe.

5-6 Change Magnetic Sensitive Switch

1) Remove the screws of TOP FRONT COVER and

take it down.

2) Pull out the connecting wires to the magnetic

sensitive switch.

3) Take out the magnetic sensitive switch.

12. Circuit Descriptions

12-1. Power Source Circuit

AC input voltage is transformed into DC voltage by the transformer through the rectifying circuit
(D101~D104). With the residual AC filtered out by electrolyzation, the steady DC12V DC voltage
will be output through the manostat 7812 and be used as control voltage for relay, damper motor,
buzzer and display.
DC 12V will turn into DC 5V voltage from the manostat 7805 to assume as the input voltage of
peripheral circuits and various signals of the chip (sensor, switch).

Voltage Applicable Circuits

Vcc (DC5V) The voltage of the chip peripheral and sensor, door switch control voltage

V12 (DC12V) Relay, buzzer, damper motor, display control voltage

This circuit is designed to form a resonant clock on the receipt/distribution of the

information on logic components inside main chip and used as the basic time for time
calculation. The components with rated parameters should be used in the resonator
circuit, because the time calculation of main chip will be changed or cannot run if the
specification is changed.

Environmental Temperature Sensor

Sensor and 10K resistance are separately connected to earthing and DC5V. The resistance
which is changed with the temperatures will be turned into the corresponding voltage. The
corresponding temperature can be confirmed at A/D transition port of main input chip.

If the signal of the corresponding operation circuit is output at the port of main chip, then
the drive chip is activated. As DC12V voltage sets the relay contact to the activated status
through the corresponding relay coil, the corresponding circuit starts running.
