B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to perform computer operations based on a given
task.

At the end of the lesson the students should be able to:


a. Identify the main components of the MS Word interface.
b. Identify the purpose of the commands on the menu bar.
c. Differentiate the different parts of the MS Interface.

recite it to me. I’m glad that all of you did it well.

Ask:
- What is a computer keyboard?
- What are the components of a keyboard?
- What are the keys for left hand pinky finger, ring finger, middle finger,
index finger?
- What are the keys for right hand pinky finger, ring finger, middle
finger, index finger? How about thumb fingers?

G. Finding practical applications In this activity you will be learning about formatting a text such as font
of concepts size, font style and font color. Open and browse the Microsoft Word
software.
Exercise 1. Text Formatting
Direction: Open a new Document, copy what is inside the Input column
and apply the font formatting indicated in the font styles column. A correct
formatting must look exactly what is in the output column. Save your
document as “Exercise 1_Font Formatting.docx”.
