FS 2 Activity 4
FS 2 Activity 4
FIELD STUDY 2
At the end of this learning activity, the FS students should be able to:
1. describe the different parts of a lesson plan using a specified model;
2. construct a lesson plan aligned to his/her specialization using the existing basic education curriculum;
3. revise a lesson based on the comments/suggestions given by the mentor/instructor;
4. cite challenges encountered in writing lesson plans; and
5. reflect on the feedback received for the improvement of teaching practice.
A lesson plan is the teacher’s compendium of what students need to learn and how it will be done effectively
during the class time. It also involves designing and incorporating appropriate learning activities and strategies to obtain
substantive feedback on student learning. A well-constructed lesson plan prepared by a teacher for a particular lesson
allows him/her to enter the classroom with more confidence and a greater possibility of having engaging activities that will
result in a meaningful learning experience with students.
In this segment of learning experience, you will be exposed to various activities that allows you to examine
different lesson plan exemplars and its parts, and an opportunity to construct your own lesson plan.
There are two activities that you are going to do in this segment of learning. First, you have to stay focus, observe and
examine materials as you work your way in writing your own lesson plan.
Activity 4-1. DRAW ME OUT! (Part 1)
The FS mentor will provide at least three sample lesson plans using different models. The FS students will identify
the model and parts the given lesson plan.

FIELD STUDY 2
From a model, which part do you think is easy and difficult to construct?
- I believe that the evaluation is the easiest part of a traditional lesson plan to come up with, while the objectives
are the most difficult. Because one of the most important parts of a lesson plan I guess, is the objectives. Since
this serves as the basis for the entire lesson plan that I will write, I view this as a challenging part of the plan. I
find the evaluation to be the easiest because all I have to do is provide them an assignment that will enable me
to assess the knowledge they have acquired throughout the course.
What teaching method is used in each plan? Why did you say so?
- They use many different kinds of teaching strategies in each lesson plan that is presented. I believe the first
lesson plan uses a traditional teaching method, or lecture-based learning, with just chalk and a chalkboard as
resources. I believe they used a traditional teaching approach which is the OSLEA lesson plan, which is known
for its traditional lesson plans. The other method of teaching I saw was the K–12 lesson plan, which is a modern
method to teaching. Additionally, I think K–12 lesson plans represent a modern approach to teaching because
they use lots of materials for instruction and make use of technology. However, all teaching methods are
beneficial as long as the teacher is also an excellent educator.
Describe the congruence of the lesson plan from the intended learning outcomes to the supporting activities and
assessments?
- Curriculum mapping is the process of aligning the lesson plan's intended learning outcomes with
the activities and assessments that support them. There should be activities or tests for students in
every lesson plan. Since the instructor will be aware of whether the pupils understand what they
are learning. The instructor needs to see the outcomes of her work, and learners are going to
remember more information if they are assigned a task related to the lesson's subject.
FIELD STUDY 2
1. Construct your own lesson plan using the DepEd format as indicated in D.O. 42 s. 2016 incorporating the
7E model. Include digital resources and materials appropriate to the intended learners.
2. Construct a 10-15 item quiz with TOS considering the listed competencies in your learning plan.

FIELD STUDY 2
What challenges did you encounter in writing your lesson plan? How will you address these challenges?
- Making a lesson plan is not simple, and the first difficulty I had was figuring out the format for 7E, as
this was my first experience with this type of plan. The next challenge that I have come across is
figuring out the right learning objectives to use when building a foundation for early learners. After
dealing with these kinds of problems, I have come to the realization that, in order to create a lesson
that will be appropriate for the students, I should actually understand the structure of the material that
I'm going to use.
It was difficult for me to choose the ideal materials to present my lesson in a stunning and appropriate
manner, so I also had challenges in this area. Another problem for me is figuring out how my lesson
plan should flow. Since I must follow the 7E, I have to think about a topic for every part of the lecture
that is related to my lesson and activity. I told myself while I worked on the lesson plan that I ought to
understand and be knowledgeable of this as I will need it in the future. I have a goal or a dream that I
want to pursue as a student; therefore, I have to know how to build a lesson plan, and I must finish
this. I am grateful that my lesson plan is now complete.
