General Rules and Regulations

Students of grades 9 to 12 are eligible to participate.


All participants must complete the online registration and
confirm their participation by 7th of July, 2023.
It is mandatory to submit the hard copy of the bonafide
certificate of all the participants during on-site registration
on the 12th of July, 2023.
All students must wear their school ID cards at all times.
Participants must be accompanied by their teacher
coordinator on both the days of the event.
Students must be in their respective school uniform unless
and otherwise required.
For group events, only ONE team per school is allowed to
participate.
All participants are instructed to strictly adhere to the time
limit mentioned for each event.
Decision of the judges will be final and irrevocable.
Participants must ensure to refrain from participating in
events that clash in timings.
Vulgarity in costumes, use of derogatory language or
unethical conduct will lead to immediate disqualification.
The management will not be responsible for theft or
damage of any personal belongings.
Any damage to school property will lead to disqualification
with penalty.

DAY 1

Natyanjali (Classical Dance)


Theme: Goddess of Hindu mythology
No. of Participants: 8-9 students per school
Duration: 3-5 minutes
The genre of the performance: Any classical dance form of
India.
The song required for the performance must be brought in a
USB flash drive and must also be emailed to
Jaagriti23@omegaschools.org in mp3 format on or before the
5th of July 2023.
Usage of props and creativity in choreography will be
appreciated.
The Choreography/ Moves should not depict vulgarity.
Movie songs/ Title tracks are strictly not allowed.
Costume change on stage is strictly prohibited.

DAY11
Through Your Lens (Short film)
Theme: Singara Chennai
No. of Participants: 4-6 students per school
Duration: 5-8 mins
Date of submission: 10th July 2023
Documentary films or animated shorts will not be considered.
Students must script, shoot and edit the short film entirely on
their own. No external clips from movies or online content
should be included in the film.
Profane and sensitive content will not be permitted.
The short film must be brought in a pen drive on the day of the
event and must also be emailed to Jaagriti23@omegaschools.org
on or before 7th of July 2023.
Movies must be in .mp4 format and not more than 1GB.
Movie credits must be included in the video.

Something Ain't Right (Wrong Answers)


No. of Participants: 1 student per School
The answers must be spontaneous and immediate , the time limit
allotted is 5 seconds per answer.
The use of filler words is prohibited. Two warnings will be given
before a disqualification.

DAY 1

Madras Bob Ross (Arts and Painting)


No. of Participants: 2 students per school
Duration: 45 minutes
There will be a random line drawn in the sheets provided. It
must be elevated to a creative picture by the participants.
Drawing Sheet will be provided by the event organizers.
The medium used can be oil pastels, sketches, pencils and ink
or watercolors only.
Participants must bring colours & other required materials.

Flow Warfare (Rapboxing)


No. of Participants: 2 students (1 rapper and 1 beatboxer)
Duration: 3 mins
A team must consist of a rapper and a beatboxer.
Originality of lyrics and theme based presentation will be
appreciated.
Use of foul language will lead to disqualification.
Choice of song should be in English, Hindi or Tamil.

DAY 1

Crack The Case (Lawyers Up)


No. of Participants: 1 student per school

Duration: 2 mins
The language of the court room must be maintained and usage
of any derogatory language will lead to disqualification.
Participants will be called forward to select their designation as
plaintiff or defendant with a pick of lots.
The participants will be given 1 minute to prepare their
arguments and 1 minute to present their arguments.

Talking Tom (Voice Over)


DAY 1
No. of Participants: 2 students per School
Duration: 1 minute
Contestants will be shown a video clipping. They need to voice
over for the same.
No foul language or controversial comments are to be used
while voicing over.

DAY 1

Set Your Tune (Music Band)


No. of Participants: 6-7 students per school
(Inclusive of instrumentalists)
Duration: 5-7 minutes (Inclusive of 2 minutes set-up time)
Students can perform a medley/mashup of two or more songs.
Choice of songs should be in English, Tamil or Hindi only.
Participating schools must bring their own instruments. Drum
kit will be provided.
Participants must clear the stage immediately after their
performance.

The Wisecrackers (Stand Up Comedy)


No. of Participants: 1 student per school
Duration: 4-5 mins
The presentation should not be offensive to any group, community,
religion or individual.
There will be negative marking for exceeding time limit.
Use of derogatory language will lead to disqualification.
Inappropriate interaction with the audience is not permitted.

DAY 1

Instant Actor (Whose line is it anyway)


No. of Participants: 1 student per school
Duration: 6 minutes
Participants will be given a character with a definite character
trait, which they must role-play during the event. 4 such
participants will be put into a specific situation where they
need to interact with each other as well as the judges.
The event will have prelims and knockouts.

Punchy Promotions (Adzap)


No. of Participants: 2 students per school
Duration:
Preparation : 12 minutes
Presentation: 3 minutes
Participants will be given a product on the spot.
Participants must display their marketing skills through the
promotion of the product.

DAY 2

Hit the Floor (Western Dance)


Theme: Freestyle
No. of Participants: 8-10 students per school
Duration: 3-5 minutes
The music for the performance must be brought in a USB
flash drive on the day of the event and must also be emailed
to Jaagriti23@omegaschools.org in mp3 format on or before
the 5th of July 2023.
Participants are required to wear appropriate costumes. Any
vulgarity in costumes or movements will lead to
disqualification.
Props, if any, must be brought by the participating schools.
The props must be immediately cleared from the stage after
the performance of the respective teams.
Inappropriate lyrics in the songs will not be entertained.
Only the instrumental version of movie songs is permitted.
Usage of any lyrical version of movie songs will lead to
disqualification.

DAY 2

Don't Blame the Flame


(Cooking without fire)
No. of Participants: 1 student per School
Duration: 90 minutes
Participants can prepare only vegetarian dishes.
Participants must bring their own ingredients.
Participants should not bring any pre-cooked or pre-cut items.
Hygienic practices should be followed.
Basic utensils will be provided. Participants are free to bring
their own utensils.
Participants should name their dish.

Talk the Plank (Shipwreck)


No. of Participants: 1 student per School
Duration: 2 minutes
Participants are required to speak only in English.
No preparation time will be given.
Use of derogatory language will lead to disqualification.

DAY 2
Square Off (Speed Cubing)
Events:
Solo Cubing (3x3)
Team Cubing (2x2, 3x3, Pyraminx)

No of participants:
Solo Cubing : 2 per school
Team Cubing: 3 students per school

Each solo cubing contestant will be given 3 solves each and


the fastest out of the 3 will be considered.
Each team cubing group must have a 2x2, 3x3 and a pyraminx
contestant for sure.
Participants must bring their own puzzle in order to compete.
Failing to do so, will result in disqualification from the event

Step Street (Adaptune)


Theme: Freestyle
No of participants: 2 students per school
Duration: 2 minutes
Random music will be played and participants should perform
accordingly on the spot.
The moves should not depict vulgarity.
Coordination must be maintained between the participants.

Surprise Event
No. of Participants: 1 student per School
The details of the event will be announced on the spot.

Turn Coat (Block and tackle)


No. of Participants: 1 student per School
Duration: 3 minutes
Topic will be given on the spot.

DAY 2

Red Carpet Runway (Ramp walk)


Theme: Sustainable fashion (Reduce Reuse & Recycle)
No. of Participants: 8 students per school
(4 models and 4 designers)
Duration: 5 mins (including 1 min of explanation)
Dressing should be appropriate and relevant to the theme
mentioned.
Sleeveless clothes, clothes above knee length or any form of
inappropriate clothing will lead to disqualification.
Teams are allowed to choose their own music. Only
instrumental music is permitted.
The music for the team must be brought in a pen drive on the
day of the event and must also be emailed to
Jaagriti23@omegaschools.org in mp3 format on or before the
5th of July 2023.

60 Second Showdown
(One Minute Tasks)
Duration: 1 min
Tasks will be given on the spot.

Swish It (Basketball)
DAY 1 & 2
No. of Participants: 4 players (3 main players and 1
substitute per team.)
Duration: 10 minutes, no half time and no quarters
(No Break)

1 hoop, Half - Court game


12sec shot clock
Game will be over if any team scores 21 points before 10 mins
The first team to score 2 points will be declared the winner in
case of a tiebreaker in overtime.

Kick Off (Football)


DAY 1 & 2
No. of Participants: 7 players (5 main players and 2
substitute per team.)

Rolling-Sub
Teams must wear proper football gear. (players will not be
allowed to compete without wearing appropriate gear)
5-A side Football rules and regulation will be followed.
If the match ends in a draw with a goal or goalless draw, the
winner will be decided by a Tie-Breaker. (Each team will have to
take 3 penalty kicks).
The participants have to report to the match venue 45 minutes
before the start of the game.

Kho-Kho
DAY 1 & 2
No. of Participants: 8 players (6 main players and 2
substitutes per team)
Latest rules and regulations will be followed
A standard match encompasses one innings.
An inning will have 5 minutes which includes chasing and
running.

Cube Cricket (Box Cricket)


DAY 1 & 2
No. of Participants: 9 Players (7 main players and 2
substitutes per team)
Duration: 4 Overs per team

No free hit for No ball.


No sixers are allowed, if sixers are hit by the batsman, they will
be out.
LBW and leg byes will not be allowed
Bowlers are allowed to do bowling by one step only
Matches will be played with a tennis ball.
All players should wear only white t-shirts and lowers.
Umpire’s decision will be final.
Teams must bring their own bat.
Each bowler can bowl only one over.

Net Wars (Volleyball)
DAY 1 & 2
No. of Participants: 5 players( 3 main players and 2
substitutes per team)

Best of three sets, each set 20 points last set 15 points, last set
will be the deciding set .
FIVB rules and regulations will be followed.
All the matches will be played in knock out basis.
Full court.

Shoot Out (Hockey Shoot-out)


DAY 2
No of participants: 2 students per school
Play the stroke in the goalpost from the corner of the post
down & top (Top of the corner 2 point & down of the post 1
point).
5 chance per each team
First player takes three chances. Another player takes two
chances.
Sudden death will occur if the game ends in a draw.

Standing Broad Jump


DAY 2
No of participants: 2 students per school
Long Jump rules will be applicable for Standing broad jump.
Each participant will get 3 chances
