CHAPTER 1
Executive Summary

Introduction
Pastil-an is a food production business that offers Pastil. Pastil is a Filipino
wrapped rice meal that consists of steamed rice covered in banana leaves with
shredded chicken on top. In a pan, simply put the ingredients in cooking chicken
adobo then shred the cooked chicken and place it on top of the rice. After that, you
can now cover it with a banana leaf. Pastil is also renowned among students due to its
superior taste and affordable price. Customers do not need to worry about their
finances, because they can have an enjoyable meal for a low price. Pastil is also easy
to consume and convenient to eat whenever or wherever you want. Simply open the
cover, and feel the smokey heat of our Pastil's delectable flavor. Furthermore,
shredded chicken adobo is the typical flavor of Pastil. However, the business owners
had the innovative notion to develop this by expanding the flavor options on the
menu. They added beef steak, adobong sitaw, and sisig bangus as the toppings of the
pastil. The food owners also place these dishes in a food jar (without rice, only the
dish) so that customers can order them for delivery or to present as gifts to their loved
ones. Moreover, Pastil-an is derived from the words "Pastil" which is a Filipino dish
and "Kainan" which refers to a place where people eat their food. The owners
combined the two words to come up with this business name, because they want to
have a creative one that will be tattooed in people's minds. Additionally, "pastilan" is
also an expression of Filipinos when they are having extreme emotions, but in this
case, in a positive manner. The entrepreneurs want people to think that if they hear the
term "Pastil-an," it is a kainan that offers high-quality pastil that will surely satisfy
and delight them. Aside from that, Pastil contains ingredients that are rich in nutrients
such as chicken, beef, fish, and string beans which are good sources of protein,
carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Pastil-an provides foods that are
beneficial to someone's health. This has advantages that will surely improve the health
of customers. The owners would like to request for the customers to try and buy their
Pastil which offers a low price but has high quality that will make them come back
over and over again.

Highlight of the Project Feasibility Study

Project Background or History


Steamed rice is covered in banana leaves to make the well-known Filipino
packed-rice dish referred to as pastil. It was created by Muslim Filipinos in the
province of Maguindanao. This rice dish highlights their culture and their creativity in
the cuisine. In order for the firm to succeed, this Pastil-an is developed and generates
more creative ideas. The general proprietorship company, Pastil-an, sells pastil that
are both affordable and of excellent quality. Pastil-an is located at Kiko Camarin,
Caloocan City nearby the Epiphany Parish Church where tons of people go everyday.
Moreover, the business name "Pastil-an" is derived from the words Pastil and kainan.
Pastil-an is also a term for Filipinos when they are having extreme emotions. This is a
unique business name since it will remain in the minds of the customers. On the other
hand, the objective of Pastil-an business is to provide customers with the highest
quality pastil as well as a memorable experience from eating the product. The
customer's satisfaction should be prioritized when implementing an excellent service.
Also, the best pastil flavor will start and continue to be provided by Pastil-an.
Pastil-an wants its customers to receive high-quality products, so that the company
will gain nationwide recognition for its products and services and will become one of
the most popular pastil producers in the food industry.

Environment and Industry Study


The presence of several nearby indirect competitors is one of the challenges
that the Pastil-an business confronts. Those businesses introduce different rice meals
in the same market as Pastil-an. Aside from that, some customers are not familiar with
pastil. However, by knowing the 4P’s (Product, Price, Place, Promotion), these
disadvantages can be leveraged to attract customers. By having an affordable price but
high quality pastil, and adding twists such as putting a variety of flavors or toppings
aside from the usual shredded chicken, these can draw the attention of the consumers.
Also, the business added the pastil dish in a food jar in the menu. Therefore, the
customers will be more engaged to try the product given its price, quality, and
innovative twists that will surely satisfy them.

Offering customers with pastil that are both affordable and of excellent quality
is the main marketing objective of Pastil-an. The business will guarantee that the
pastil the customers purchased is worth their money. In this case, customers would be
delighted as well as have their demands for the pastil fulfilled. In addition, Pastil-an
will make an effort to develop relationships with its customers in order to keep their
loyalty. This company will start out small, but grow to become one of the largest
pastil producers. Furthermore, Pastil-an will first establish several branches around
the Caloocan City market before expanding throughout Metro Manila. While ensuring
that their pastil retains its authentic flavor, Pastil-an will also take novel approaches
and provide top-notch service. In general, Pastil-an must maintain its adaptability,
flexibility, and dedication to work for the development of the company and the
satisfaction of its customers.

Management Study
Employees with dedication, integrity, passion, professionalism, and skills
constitute the management department of Pastil-an. There will be a General Manager,
Assistant Manager. Under the governance of the Assistant Manager is the Store Staff,
and the Cook. While the Assistant Manager is in charge of managing day-to-day
operations for the company, the General Manager will oversee the business' overall
production. These aspects will determine how work is distributed inside an
organization. It enables teams to handle duties within the confines of their respective
responsibilities. This entails increasing the market share attained through operations,
as well as relationships with consumers, brand awareness, and business expansion.

Technical Study
Pastil-an cannot function if appropriate tools and equipment are not available.
This overview will discuss the equipment, supplies, and their purposes. Ways to
operate Pastil-an's amenities and resources will be depicted in illustrations.
Furthermore, this section will cover the prices of these necessities. This is important
since these are the things that will make the business possible. This focus is on the
various machinery and apparatus that will be used to make the pastil.

generation and cost structure for both operating and non-operating actions.
Additionally, it displays the net profit or deficit for a specific accounting period. Also,
based on some estimations, the business will have a favorable cash flow annually.
Therefore, a large increase in owner's equity and general earnings are anticipated by
the end of 2023. It is important to take into account that the income and financial
computations were carried out during the reporting period.

Socio-economic Desirability Study


Pastil-an company is dedicated to not only producing high quality pastil, but
also making sure that the enterprise will benefit the society. This business will use
resources effectively and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the economy.
Pastil-an can help in this way to keep society viable. Furthermore, the company will
make sure that the environment is not neglected. The 3Rs will be put into practice,
and the community will be encouraged to dispose of waste properly. On top of that,
Pastil-an will have donations to help the community.

Project Implementation (Gantt Chart)


Pastil-an will create a gantt chart for project implementation. It shows activity
in relation to time graphically. It also assists project managers in keeping track of
activities and schedules of Pastil-an. In this approach, the company will have a plan
for when or how long it will take to accomplish the intended objective. Project
management relies heavily on the planning phase, or the execution of suggested
initiatives. This goal of the accounting process is to monitor the goals throughout a
predetermined time frame.

Pastil, also known as patel, is a packed rice meal originating from Maranao
people, an ethnic group in Mindanao. The Maranao are known for their rich culinary
traditions, and pastil is considered one of their signature dishes. It consists of cooked
rice wrapped in banana leaves and topped with dry shredded beef, chicken, or fish, the
mixture is then steamed or grilled to achieve the flavorful and tender filling.
Particularly popular as a breakfast, lunch and dinner option among Filipino/Muslims,
pastil offers both affordability and convenience. This makes it convenient for
Filipinos who lead busy lifestyles, need a quick meal during work or travel, or simply
want a portable lunch option. It is a simple dish that can be prepared and enjoyed with
everyone, offering a delightful and smoky flavor. The idea behind our establishment is
to present a diverse variety of foods and culture to our community. In addition, our
company serves a range of satisfying Filipino cuisine, including fried chicken, adobo
and more. Pastil-an, our company is dedicated to delivering the exact fulfillment that
consumers seek. Our primary goal for this project is to delve into the origins and
historical context of pastil, providing a comprehensive understanding of its
beginnings.

General description of the business

Name of the firm


The owners of this business have decided to name it "Pastil-an", because
people love to eat rice, which inspired her to start this business. They want to provide
an affordable dining option for every customer, including students who want to save
money, working individuals who don't have time to cook their meals, and those
interested in trying Muslim cuisine. For a budget-friendly price, you can have rice and
a main dish already. Additionally, Pastil-an is a combination of the words "Pastil" (a
Filipino cuisine) and "Kainan" (a place where people have their meals).
The researchers merged the two words to create this business name because
we want something memorable that people would remember. Furthermore, "pastille"
is a pleasant phrase used by Filipinos when they are experiencing intense emotions.
They want people to assume that when they hear the phrase "Pastil-an," they are

thinking about a kainan that provides high-quality pastil that will undoubtedly satisfy
and thrill them.

Types of Business Organization


Pastil-an is classified as a General Partnership. In general partnership, the
pooling of multiple partners' ideas and skills can lead to greater financial success and
minimize clashes in decision-making. Additionally, this Partnership gains an
enhanced capacity to expand, compete effectively, and capitalize on market
opportunities. In terms of owner improvement, a general partnership allows each
partner to actively participate in the business's operations, gaining valuable hands-on
experience and knowledge.

partners, sharing a common purpose, and demonstrating a willingness to collaborate
and distribute profits, losses, and liabilities.This agreement serves to ensure clarity,

general partnership. This partnership is formed under the following terms and
conditions, and it is subject to the existing laws and regulations of the Republic of the
Philippines.

That the sharing ratio determines how the profits and losses of the business are
divided among the partners. and established through negotiation, taking into account
factors like capital contributions, effort, expertise, and other relevant considerations. It
ensures a fair distribution of financial outcomes, aligning with the partners' stakes and
participation in the partnership.

ARTICLE IX: Management:

Liwanag, Abigael as the General Manager, shall assume responsibility for managing
the operations of the partnership. She is authorized to use the partnership name and
perform all necessary and appropriate actions required for the effective management
of the firm and the fulfillment of its lawful objectives.

ARTICLE X. Undertaking to Change Name:

The partners agree to promptly change the name of the partnership, as specified herein
or as amended in the future, upon receiving notice or directive from the Securities and
Exchange Commission. This would occur in the event that another entity or individual
has acquired prior rights to the use of the name, or if the name has been deemed
misleading, deceptive, confusingly similar to a registered name, or against public
morals, good customs, or public policy.

Kiko Camarin Road in Caloocan City. Kiko Camarin is a popular destination with a
high percentage of customers. This area is ideal for growing our business, because
many individuals will be introduced to our product. When customers become weary
of walking around completing their duties near Kiko Camarin, they may take a break
and purchase our products at a modest price that will undoubtedly provide them with
extra energy. Furthermore, since there are fewer competitors, we contemplated
building our business here. There are no other stores or businesses selling the same
product as us.

The main objectives of our Pastil business are to;

The business logo of our business is inspired by Philippine tradition or


anything that is related to Filipino culture is the main theme of our business.
Therefore, we used the farmer wearing a straw hat to symbolize the Filipinos; the sun
that can be seen in the Philippine flag; the color brown that deflects Filipinos
especially our natural moreno/morena skin color. Moreover, the old brown paper
reflects the history of our country, that’s why it is placed in the background; the period
where everyone gets their hopes to live.

We also coined the tagline “Mapapa-pastilan ka sa sarap!” since it is catchy


and easy to remember. In that phrase, our business name is there and also one of the
reasons why we name our business “pastil-an”. This positioning refers to how
customers will react exaggeratedly whenever they taste the delicious flavor of our
pastil.

CHAPTER 3
Environment Study

Introduction
This part is an introduction to Chapter 3 of the company feasibility study,
where we talk about the marketing mix and PESTEL analysis and how important it is
in figuring out if the business idea to make pastil works. The marketing mix is a basic
framework used to create successful marketing strategies that help businesses meet
the needs and preferences of their target market. In this chapter, the company will
look at the four main parts of the marketing mix, which are the product, price, place,
and promotion, and see how each one contributes to the overall success of the pastil
business. By looking closely at these factors, the company hopes to learn important
things about how to place products on the market, attract customers, and make money
in a sustainable way.

Recruitment and Selection Process


The process requires a week to complete the Pastil-an hiring process. To be managers
who are qualified for their selected positions, Assistant Managers, Finance and
Marketing Professionals, Store Staffs, Cook, Security Personnel as well as cashiers
must all adhere to these standards.

proprietors. During the initial interview, backgrounds in personal, professional,
