CHAPTER 1
Executive Summary
Introduction
Pastil-an is a food production business that offers Pastil. Pastil is a Filipino
wrapped rice meal that consists of steamed rice covered in banana leaves with
shredded chicken on top. In a pan, simply put the ingredients in cooking chicken
adobo then shred the cooked chicken and place it on top of the rice. After that, you
can now cover it with a banana leaf. Pastil is also renowned among students due to its
superior taste and affordable price. Customers do not need to worry about their
finances, because they can have an enjoyable meal for a low price. Pastil is also easy
to consume and convenient to eat whenever or wherever you want. Simply open the
cover, and feel the smokey heat of our Pastil's delectable flavor. Furthermore,
shredded chicken adobo is the typical flavor of Pastil. However, the business owners
had the innovative notion to develop this by expanding the flavor options on the
menu. They added beef steak, adobong sitaw, and sisig bangus as the toppings of the
pastil. The food owners also place these dishes in a food jar (without rice, only the
dish) so that customers can order them for delivery or to present as gifts to their loved
ones. Moreover, Pastil-an is derived from the words "Pastil" which is a Filipino dish
and "Kainan" which refers to a place where people eat their food. The owners
combined the two words to come up with this business name, because they want to
have a creative one that will be tattooed in people's minds. Additionally, "pastilan" is
also an expression of Filipinos when they are having extreme emotions, but in this
case, in a positive manner. The entrepreneurs want people to think that if they hear the
term "Pastil-an," it is a kainan that offers high-quality pastil that will surely satisfy
and delight them. Aside from that, Pastil contains ingredients that are rich in nutrients
such as chicken, beef, fish, and string beans which are good sources of protein,
carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Pastil-an provides foods that are
beneficial to someone's health. This has advantages that will surely improve the health
of customers. The owners would like to request for the customers to try and buy their
Pastil which offers a low price but has high quality that will make them come back
over and over again.

Market Study
Offering customers with pastil that are both affordable and of excellent quality
is the main marketing objective of Pastil-an. The business will guarantee that the
pastil the customers purchased is worth their money. In this case, customers would be
delighted as well as have their demands for the pastil fulfilled. In addition, Pastil-an
will make an effort to develop relationships with its customers in order to keep their
loyalty. This company will start out small, but grow to become one of the largest
pastil producers. Furthermore, Pastil-an will first establish several branches around
the Caloocan City market before expanding throughout Metro Manila. While ensuring
that their pastil retains its authentic flavor, Pastil-an will also take novel approaches
and provide top-notch service. In general, Pastil-an must maintain its adaptability,
flexibility, and dedication to work for the development of the company and the
satisfaction of its customers.
Management Study
Employees with dedication, integrity, passion, professionalism, and skills
constitute the management department of Pastil-an. There will be a General Manager,
Assistant Manager. Under the governance of the Assistant Manager is the Store Staff,
and the Cook. While the Assistant Manager is in charge of managing day-to-day
operations for the company, the General Manager will oversee the business' overall
production. These aspects will determine how work is distributed inside an
organization. It enables teams to handle duties within the confines of their respective
responsibilities. This entails increasing the market share attained through operations,
as well as relationships with consumers, brand awareness, and business expansion.
Technical Study
Pastil-an cannot function if appropriate tools and equipment are not available.
This overview will discuss the equipment, supplies, and their purposes. Ways to
operate Pastil-an's amenities and resources will be depicted in illustrations.
Furthermore, this section will cover the prices of these necessities. This is important
since these are the things that will make the business possible. This focus is on the
various machinery and apparatus that will be used to make the pastil.

Financial Study
A financial study will give an in-depth analysis of the business's income
generation and cost structure for both operating and non-operating actions.
Additionally, it displays the net profit or deficit for a specific accounting period. Also,
based on some estimations, the business will have a favorable cash flow annually.
Therefore, a large increase in owner's equity and general earnings are anticipated by
the end of 2023. It is important to take into account that the income and financial
computations were carried out during the reporting period.

Environment Study
Introduction
This part is an introduction to Chapter 3 of the company feasibility study,
where we talk about the marketing mix and PESTEL analysis and how important it is
in figuring out if the business idea to make pastil works. The marketing mix is a basic
framework used to create successful marketing strategies that help businesses meet
the needs and preferences of their target market. In this chapter, the company will
look at the four main parts of the marketing mix, which are the product, price, place,
and promotion, and see how each one contributes to the overall success of the pastil
business. By looking closely at these factors, the company hopes to learn important
things about how to place products on the market, attract customers, and make money
in a sustainable way.

Product
In this part of the feasibility study of the pastil business, the company will
analyze the product side of the marketing mix. When it comes to satisfying customers
and staying ahead of the competition, nothing is more important than the product
itself. First, here's a comprehensive description of the pastil product. Pastil is a
traditional Filipino cuisine consisting of steamed rice, chicken or beef shreds, and a
savory sauce wrapped in a banana leaf for extra flavor. It is typically ingested as a
quick snack or a light lunch due to its portability and convenience. Pastil business
seeks to provide high-quality, ready-to-eat pastil that is hygienically prepared and
conveniently packaged to meet the needs of the target market's fast-paced lifestyle.
The company will prioritize preserving the originality and traditional flavors of pastil
while enhancing its allure through the use of contemporary packaging and
presentation. Alongside the traditional chicken and beef options, the company will
introduce a variety of flavorful variants to appeal to a wide range of customer
preferences. Additionally, the company will prioritize the use of fresh, locally sourced
ingredients to ensure the authenticity of flavor and nutritional value of pastil. It will
also ensure that pastil are packaged in clean, food-grade materials that maintain their
freshness and hygienic standards. This will increase customers' trust and confidence.
Price
Determining the appropriate price for the pastil business was a crucial
component of the feasibility analysis. The company knew that finding the perfect
balance between profitability and competitiveness would be the key to success. So the
company conducted a comprehensive cost analysis to determine the minimum price
required to cover the expenses and achieve a reasonable profit margin. The company
carefully calculated the costs associated with raw materials, labor, and overhead
expenses. By understanding these costs, the company was able to establish a baseline
price that would ensure the business remain financially viable. Next, the company
conducted market research and demand analysis to gain insights into customer
preferences. The company also analyzed its competitors' pricing strategies to position
itself effectively in the market. Understanding the market dynamics and demand
allowed the company to align the pricing strategy with the perceived value of the
product, ensuring it remained attractive to the target customers. The company
conducted a thorough pricing analysis, which enabled it to establish a price for pastil
that achieved the perfect balance. The company ensured the costs were covered, the
profit margins were reasonable, and the pricing remained competitive within the
25 | Page
market. Implementing this pricing strategy would establish a solid foundation for the
business, enabling it to satisfy customer demands while optimizing revenue.
Place
The company recognized that ensuring accessibility and convenience would be
crucial to appealing to its intended customers. Locating the ideal spot for the pastil
business was a crucial aspect of the feasibility study. So the company conducted a
search to find the perfect location for the pastil business. The company took into
account the local residents, students, and office workers when considering their
proximity to the target market. The company's goal was to choose a location that
would be easily accessible to customers and have a high volume of foot traffic in the
surrounding area. This would make it convenient for people to find and enjoy the
delicious pastil. The company strategically positioned the business by analyzing the
competitors and identifying areas where competition was minimal or where it could
distinguish itself effectively. Furthermore, the company assessed the accessibility of
prospective sites, acknowledging the significance of transportation connections,
parking amenities, and communal areas. The company's aim was to ensure that pastil
reached customers through various convenient and accessible means by adopting this
approach. By implementing a meticulous plan and making strategic decisions, the
company has successfully positioned its pastil business for success. The company's
main goal was to make sure that everyone who desired to taste the pastil would have
easy access to it.
Promotion
In order to make the business successful, the company must discover how to
promote it. Promotional activities play a crucial role in creating awareness, generating
interest, and driving sales for our business. To effectively promote the pastil, the
company needs to create clear promotional objectives that align with the overall
business goals. Some key goals the company aims to achieve through our promotional
efforts include what we call "brand awareness." Building awareness of the brand and
having a strong presence in the market is important. The company wants the target
customers to know and associate the pastil with quality, authenticity, and delicious
taste. Next, differentiating the pastil from rivals and showcasing its unique features,
flavors, and traditional preparation methods will be key promotional objectives. The
company wants to build a distinct identity that sets it apart in the market. To achieve
these promotional objectives, the company will implement a strategy designed to
26 | Page
reach the target customers successfully through digital marketing. Using digital tools,
such as social media and online advertisements, for the business. This will help the
company reach a larger audience. The company will create engaging content, share
enticing visuals of pastil, and connect with customers through social media platforms.
By setting clear promotional objectives, including brand recognition and
differentiation, the company can align its efforts with its overall business goals.
Implementing digital marketing will help the company reach its target customers
effectively and build a strong brand presence in the market. Allocating a suitable
promotional budget ensures that efforts are well supported and maximizes the effect
of the company's promotional activities. With a well-executed promotion analysis, the
company can build a buzz around the pastil, entice customers to try the delicious
delicacy, and drive sustained growth for the business.
