CONTEMPORARY WORLD

BSCE-2B

MODULE 1

TASK 1

1. To a political expert, the Manfred Steger and Bana al-Abed case illustrates the idea of
globalization. In which it demonstrates what a philosophy implies for Bana al-existence Abed's
and a few other things. The Twitter account of Bana al-Abed demonstrates how they are affected
by the philosophy of powerful people there, which leads to conflict, bombardment, and death.

2. Through the use of technology and social media, I think that transnationality and transnationalism
would be the greatest paradigms for expressing the transmission of various processes, practices,
and developments that would be able to share the current situation in Syria with the entire globe.
It would cover a wide range of misconceptions that would help people throughout the world
understand what is really happening in Syria, and it would bring together disparate groups for
improved relations.

3. - If digital technology was already available during the WW1 and WW2, the aspect of war would
be some kind of digital warfare like hacking.
-Technology pioneers themselves benefit from one another's developments.

4. I chose my 1st assertion and it is classified as technoscape.

REFLECTION

1. "We are asking for immediate help here because our country is in the middle of deadly war. Terrorists
starting bombing our location. Half of the population is now dead."

-I will ask for immediate help because even innocent toddlers, even new born babies are victim of
bombing.

2. "This will be my last post. Hopefully, you can rescue us in our location immediately. There is no food
and water left. We are all starving here and anytime we may die."

-I would also ask for food and water because of extreme hungriness and thirst we will not survive.

3. "Early morning and I hear loud sounds of bombs and firearms from the other side of town. I hope they
can survive and they will not attack us here."

-I am hoping that many will survive and also praying for myself and family to not experience that
heartbreaking situation.
SYNTHESIS

The term "globalization" refers to a process that seeks to expand internationally. Commercial activities on
a worldwide scale. It was brought on by advancements in technology as well as worldwide
communications, which were enabled by advancements in the economy, politics, and environment. In
other words, globalization is the unrestricted exchange of knowledge, technology, and goods between
customers and nations. Technology, business, geopolitics, travel, and the arts are all forms of media that
play a role in this openness. For me, globalization is a synonym for transformation. It frequently changes
in business, technology, the economy, and eventually society. Space, Time, and Globalization What I
believe is time-space distanciation, commonly known as time-space distanciation. through Anthony
Giddens. Social networks and systems are expanding across time and space as a result of technological
advancements in human transportation and communications, and consequently societal control
(GIDDENS, 1985). For instance, a phone call compresses the caller's social interaction with the callee. A
cell phone is a tool for time compression. It's a device that can link users over very long distances. by
overcoming space and time with minimal lag time. It is a more compact and portable gadget that
compresses time faster than a computer can. A cell phone, as opposed to a computer, provides for
unimpeded by the presence of a photograph. Since there is no image to divert the cell phone user, the
space and duration of the connection are compressed and clean. The cell phone instead offers
communication in its most basic form, as opposed to pure media like images, music files, and movies. It is
portable, in addition to being unfiltered and pure. The user can access communication while "on the go"
because time/space compression is possible on both a phone and a computer. It is becoming more and
more important to investigate space, time, and experience compression. As technological social beings,
we no longer reside in a single place. Time has accelerated to the point where space and time exist
simultaneously. When you sit in your home, you are experiencing both local and virtual time and space.
