CONCLUSION
These curricula deliver different aspects that cater to all the education gaps, especially in the Social Study of
Elementary learners. K–12 gives teachers the ability to instill learners with the relevant skill that catches up
with the ASEAN integration. The curriculum is very beneficial because it gives quality education that answers
societal needs and produces skillful yet knowledgeable and employable Filipinos. MELCs answer the
challenging circumstances during the Pandemic. It filled the gaps and helped both students and teachers in
coping up with the new changes. MELCs offer flexible learning where students engage in self-paced learning
with enough time for them to analyze and understand the lesson. They are also given flexible activities so that
they won’t rush and feel overloaded. The MATATAG curriculum on the other hand is the revision of the K-12
Curriculum and MELCs (Most Essential Learning Competencies) incorporate key changes:
- Decongested Curriculum
- Cognitive Equilibrium
MATATAG Curriculum addresses the learning losses due to many learning competencies but with short time
allotment for instruction. That’s why with the key changes in the MATATAG curriculum students will have to
focus only on the things that they must know and yet they’re still able to develop their skills. With this
curriculum, students will be able to hone their foundational, cognitive, logical, and critical thinking skills. They
will also be integrated with values about their cultural heritage, citizenry, civic engagement, patriotism, and the

After reviewing the MATATAG curriculum, K-12 curriculum, and MELCs we have the following
effectively. It is important to provide them with the necessary training and resources, as well as ongoing

Assessment Methods – The curriculum when implemented shall address the various learning styles
and abilities of students in coping with the lesson. Assessments shall measure their understanding and
skills.
