Nephrotic syndrome
A group of symdrome that defined by a triad of
clinical features:

Proteinuria > 3.5 g/24 hr.


Hypoalbuminemia < 30 g/L
Edema

Primary causes
An intrinsic renal disease such as:
Membranous nephropathy
Minimal-­change nephropathy
Focal and segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS)

Secondary causes
Include systemic diseases such as:
Lupus erythematosus
Diabetes mellitus
Amyloidosis
Infection; HIV, HBV, HCV 5
