Ramleela
Ramleela is the story of Shree Ram brought to life. The story is taken from the Hindu
Ramayan. It shows the story of two Lovers, Ram (a Rajadi) and Leela,(a Sanera) who are not
allowed to be together. Falling in love at first sight, they decide to elope, after Leela’s older
brother kills Ram’s older brother. Ram’s friends finds them and leaks their location, leading
to Leela being taken back to her home. Her mother tries to marry her off to another man, but
Leela refuses. Her mother cuts off her finger when Leela shows her that Ram’s ring already
occupies it. Upon hearing this, Ram cut off his own finger. Ram visits Leela and she gives
him an ultimatum to take her away. When Leela’s Mother sends goons to rape his sister-in-
law, Ram begs the mother for peace. She invites him to celebrate with them, intending to kill
him. When her mother is shot, Leela becomes chieftain of the Saneras and bitterly carries out
a negotiation with Ram with a condition that the Saneras and the Rajadis will not come in
contact again. Bhavani deceives Leela into signing a order that permits unrestrained murders
of the Rajadis. Many of the Rajadis die and Ram and Leela realise that they are soulmates
and shoot one another dead, all the while oblivious to the fact that Dhankor Baa has
undergone a change of heart and has killed Bhavani, ordering that peace be made with the
other clan. The two clans come together to cremate the bodies of the lovers.
