The 5 i/GCSE subjects chosen, as well as the other subject(s) you would like to study IF it were to be
offered, will help us produce the option blocks for the timetable the following academic year.

Please note that you will be required to study the below i/GCSEs or MoE subjects alongside
your 5 i/GCSE subjects, hence why they are not included:

- Mathematics

- Moral Education
- MoE curriculum subjects (Arabic and/or Islamic Studies)

9. Article 3 - Ministerial Decision No. 40 (2023) - i/GCSEs

When deciding upon what i/GCSE Options to study, I understand that in order to
gain equivalency and 'PASS' Year 11 in a British Curriculum school that I need to
pass 5 i/GCSEs with grades: A *, A, B, C, D, E or 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9.

Please note of the 5 subjects, STUDENTS ARE NO LONGER REQUIRED TO STUDY

AND/OR PASS One (1) of the science subjects (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) to gain
equivalency.

I acknowledge that Ministry of Education such as Arabic and Islamic Studies do

not count towards equivalency.
Additionally, Arabic First Language i/GCSE do not count towards equivalency in
the U.A.E and thus may have to be self-studied (TBC)

Additionally, I accept and acknowledge that this is a 2-year commitment and I am

NOT permitted to "drop" 1-2 i/GCSEs at any stage as I am required to sit all 7
i/GCSE subject examinations at the end of Year 11.

Finally, I have researched with my family and understood the University/Further

education requirements outside of the U.A.E before choosing the i/GCSEs I wish to
study over the next 2-years at CHS. This checking and verifying the Equivalency
guidelines in our home country and beyond the U.A.E.
