instructions. Write your name and index number in ink in the spaces provided above.

This booklet consists of two Papers. Answer Paper 2 which comes first, on your answer booklet and Paper
1 on your Objective Test answer sheet. Paper 2 will last 1 hour after which the answer booklet will be
collected. Do not start paper 1 until you are told to do so. Paper 1 will last 45 minutes.

(b) An amount of GH¢ 4,200.00 was shared between Aba and Kofi. If Aba had 7 of the amount
(i) how much did Kofi receive;
(ii) what percentage of Aba’s share did Kofi receive?

(c) When a number is doubled and then decreased by 9 the result is 19. Find the number.

5. (a) It takes Kwame 2 hours to complete multiple-choice questions. If he works at the same rate, how
many minutes did he spend on one question?

(b) The number of goals scored by a team in 8 matches are 5, 8, 5, 8, 2, 0, 1, 3. Find:


(i) the median score;
(ii) the mean score

(c) By selling goods for GH¢ 168.00, a trader made a profit of 12%. How much did the goods cost
him?
