INTRODUTION:

Education in Mexico, like in any country, is a vivid reflection of its identity, aspirations, and
challenges. In the crucible of its cultural and geographical diversity, the Mexican education
system has undergone transformations over time. In this exploration, we will delve into the
nuances of education in Mexico, from Challenges in Mexican Education to education as a right.
The educational journey of millions of students, the efforts of educators, and government
policies shaping this landscape weave a complex tapestry that deserves to be understood and
discussed in the context of a country striving to build a strong and equitable educational
future.

Challenges in Mexican Education: Equity, quality, and access, main challenges of Education in
Mexico.

Education in Mexico is a complex issue that reflects the cultural and geographical diversity of
the country. This article explores the various nuances of the Mexican education system,
highlighting the challenges and opportunities it faces.

In Mexico, education is a recognized human right in Article 3 of the Political Constitution of the
United Mexican States, which states: "Every individual has the right to receive education. The
State - Federation, States, Federal District, and Municipalities - will provide preschool, primary,
secondary, and upper secondary education... The State will guarantee the quality of
compulsory education, so that educational materials and methods, and school organization,
educational infrastructure..." correspond to the right to education.

The Sectoral Program of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) proposes, to address the
educational needs of people with disabilities, a sectoral agenda based on the international and
national legal framework. The Educational Reform defines profound changes and drives the
construction of quality education, with equity and inclusion, involving a human rights
perspective.

Inclusive Education should be understood as a guiding principle aimed at achieving desirable

levels of school integration for all students. It involves the formulation and implementation of
learning strategies that respond to the diversity of students, laying the foundations for
education with equal opportunities for children and adolescents with disabilities.

The notion of inclusion is not something specific to an educational system; rather, it is the
vision of an inclusive society that values this principle, where each member has their place.
OPINION:

Inclusive education in Mexico represents a significant effort to ensure that all students,
regardless of their differences or abilities, have access to equitable educational opportunities.
This initiative is essential for building a more just and egalitarian society. Although progress has
been made in promoting inclusion, challenges persist in practical implementation.

On this path toward total inclusion, it is vital not only to celebrate the achievements but also
to recognize the remaining challenges and work collaboratively to overcome them. Inclusive
education is a collective journey toward an educational system that reflects diversity and
provides equal opportunities for all students.BIBLIOGRAPHY:

Articulo 2:

Education: #ItsYourRight

Girls, boys, and adolescents have the right to a quality education that contributes to the
knowledge of their own rights. Based on a human rights and substantive equality approach, it
should guarantee respect for their human dignity, the harmonious development of their
potential, and personality. It should also strengthen respect for human rights and fundamental
freedoms, as stated in Article 3 of the Political Constitution of the United Mexican States, the
General Law of Education, and other applicable provisions.

Authorities, within their respective competencies, will ensure the achievement of quality
education and substantive equality in access and permanence in it. To achieve this, they must:

- Provide the educational attention that girls, boys, and adolescents require for their full
development. The respective programs should consider age, maturity, particular
circumstances, and cultural traditions, among other factors.

School authorities, within their competence, must take necessary measures to guarantee the
protection of the rights of girls, boys, and adolescents. Education, in addition to what is
established in applicable provisions, will have the following purposes:

- Foster fundamental values and respect for one's own identity, as well as cultural differences
and diverse opinions in girls, boys, and adolescents.

- Develop the personality, skills, and potential of girls, boys, and adolescents, among other
objectives.

Competent authorities will carry out necessary actions to create ideal conditions for a
violence-free environment in educational institutions. This involves fostering harmonious
coexistence and integral development, including the creation of permanent mediation
mechanisms involving those with parental authority or guardianship. Authorities in their
respective competencies and academic institutions will coordinate to:

- Design strategies and actions for early detection, containment, prevention, and eradication of
bullying or school violence in all its forms. This will include the participation of public, private,
and social sectors, along with indicators and mechanisms for monitoring, evaluation, and
surveillance.

Opinion:

The importance of education in Mexico is fundamental for the integral development of the
country. Quality education not only provides academic knowledge but also contributes to the
development of skills, values, and citizens aware of their rights and responsibilities.

In a diverse country like Mexico, education plays a crucial role in promoting equality and
equity, enabling people to overcome socio-economic barriers and access opportunities.
Additionally, a well-founded education is key to fostering innovation, critical thinking, and
competitiveness in an increasingly globalized world.

Education is also a cornerstone for addressing various social challenges, such as poverty,
discrimination, and inequality. By investing in the education of the population, a path is
created toward sustainable development and a more just society. Therefore, I believe that
education must be a right.
