I am happy to have an opportunity to apply for undergraduate program at______ university and by this
letter I would express my keen interest to study on chemical engineering program. I am 12 year student at
Nazarbayev High school of mathematics and physics in Almaty, Kazakhstan. My school is a great place where
every student together with interesting teen life can have fascinating support from teachers related to profession
choice and interests in any subject. In my case, my interest to chemistry and physics grew every year and I
decided to move in this direction. I was enthusiastically searching for undergraduate programs and universities
and delighted to see opportunity to apply to your university and to get more expertise in my field in a country
with big opportunities in academics and practical part of learning.
From school years I always showed high motivation to science and I always was glad to participate
scientific events as well as had potential to organize a range of events and activities. From first years of exact
sciences start, I realized strength of science in our world. I did not want to stop with those topics we had on
lessons, and read newspapers, scientific magazines and always wanted to be familiar with news in scientific world
In 2015 I had presented my research project in testing medicine on a national competition and won first place.
That was a great experience, I understood the importance of science and found many co-thinkers in my field.
Afterwards, I participated many scientific projects in physics, chemistry and biology. Having potential to sciences
and research also my huge interest to scientific news- all of these clearly defined my profession choice: I wanted
to develop theoretical knowledge, to have solid education in science and to be able to, to improve people’s life in
practice and increase the importance of science in people’s life; therefore I chose this program for my
undergraduate studies.
Moreover, together with my passion to science, I am proud of telling that I had significant contribution to
academic life and reputation of my school as a founder of educational project and had appreciation letter for the
creation of educational-methodological resource called “Neobilim”. This is an innovation way to learn science
based on new learning tools such as videoplatforms. Also, I have rich experience in volunteering in several social
projects, public talks experience on events such as TedX and MUN and have a big interest in music with
achievements in different national and international contest. Also, I want to mention that sport takes a big role in
my life and I have also good achievements in swimming. These all, I am sure, can be a good asset for my
undergraduate studies, where I plan to continue to have bright student life together with academics.
This program is a great chance to have high quality education, have good knowledge in my field, improve
personal background and to exchange experiences, ideas and prospects with students and teachers from different
parts of the world. I want to earn bachelor degree at _________ University because it is known that in
____________, science is strongly developed and huge attention is paid to the development and organization of
scientific projects. Therefore, studying in there means to be able to get closer with newer tools, methods and
concepts of the field. Also, it is obvious that being able to practise and improve my English as well as opportunity
to learn new languages are good bonus for being motivated to apply there.
I am sure that I am academically and personally ready for being able to perform successfully as an
undergraduate student and to present my culture and nationality from the best sides to the world. I look forward to
have a chance to attend this program which would be a great start of my professional life.
