A. Câu điều kiện loại 1
Câu điều kiện loại 1 được dùng để diễn tả khả năng có thể xảy ra ở hiện tại hoặc tương lai.
Cấu trúc: If S + V(htd), S will V
Ex: If the weather is nice, we will go out tomorrow.
* Một số cấu trúc dùng trong câu điều kiện loại 1
- Unless + mệnh đề HTD, S will V.
Ex: Unless it rains, we will go out.
- Provided that ~ supposing that = if: với điều kiện là, nếu mà
Ex: Provided that he pays me back by Friday, I won’t tell his secrets.
- as long as = so long as: miễn là
Ex: I will lend you the money so long as you pay me back.
E. Một số loại cách diễn đạt khác trong câu điều kiện
- otherwise: kẻo không thì
Ex: He helped me, otherwise I would have lost my money.
- or/or else: kẻo không
Ex: Hurry up or you’ll be late for school.
- in case: trong trường hợp
Ex: Take this map in case you get lost.
- but for + Noun = without + Noun: nếu không có, nếu không vì
Ex: But for his help, I would have died.
- If it weren’t for + Noun, S would V
If it hadn’t been for + Noun, S would have PII.
Ex: If it weren’t for the bad weather, we would go camping.
If it hadn’t been for his determination, he wouldn’t have won the gold medal.
